In this episode, I want to share with you guys the life-changing lessons that I'm lucky enough to learn directly from my dad.
Growing up, I've always known a man who's so determined and kind. I'm grateful to have been able to observe his lifestyle and work ethic from a young age, both of which have profoundly transformed me and shaped who I am today. Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dads out there!
Here are the lyrics to my original song, 'Tâm Sự Của Con' (My Confession)
Nhớ con bố mẹ vẫn an lòng
[English translation]
Back when I was a little kid,
Dad loved, Mom cared, no worry I hid.
Back then, Dad walked me to school and Mom came along,
Seeing me so skinny, Mom just worried I'd be weak, not strong.
When I learned to read, and also play the piano,
Dad showed me off to everyone, so proud, full of gusto.
No matter if what I did was wise or silly,
In the end, my parents always trusted me, really.
Then came a day when I grew up, started to work,
Seeing me so busy, Mom worried again I’d get sick due to overwork.
As I kept growing, Dad's hair started turning gray,
More wrinkles marked Mom's face, as I moved further away.
The more I saw, the more I loved my parents who made me strong,
I don’t want to think about that some day, when I’m grown up but could no longer take them along.
I just wish my parents live life, happy and healthy,
Missing me, they still find peace, and are never weary.
