Hello Creatives!
Welcome to the Be Inspired Podcast. This is episode ten of season two and we are thrilled to have made it through another season of podcast's with your support. We sincerely hope you enjoy this episode!
This podcast, set up by Blue Balloon Theatre, is a chance for us to connect with creative within and beyond our community and discuss their experience working within the various parts of the performing arts industry.
Our final guest of the season is Chirag Lobo.
Chirag Benedict Lobo is from Mumbai. He moved to London in 2017 to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama after being the recipient of Fishmongers Ben Tavers Scholarship. At Guildhall he developed his skills as an actor as well as a writer and director. He won The Collaborate Project grant where his play “Ravan” (written and directed by him) was developed and staged in Guildhall. He graduated in 2020 and won the Opening Doors Programme at the Jermyn Street Theatre. Here his solo piece “The Public Servant” was further developed and directed by Lekan Lawal. He hopes to stage the play in the very near future. In 2021 his play “The Butterflies of Life” written with Daniel Adeosun was selected as part of the Vaults, Future Fringes Festival at the Pleasance. Chirag is currently a Creative Associate at the Jermyn Street Theatre and is working on a R&D of a new play “Camellias” by Oladipo Agboluaje where he is playing the character of Paul and is directed by Hannah Calascione. He will be seen later this year playing the role of Asif Faradoon in the ITV Series Endeavour.
This had to be one of the most interesting and insightful podcasts we recorded throughout Season Two and to delve into the differences between performing arts culture in both Mumbai, India and England, UK was in itself fascinating.
A huge thank you Chirag for being so open in this interview and we wish you every success in your future endeavours.
In the meantime, thank you so much for your continued support towards Be Inspired. Our hope is that in 2022, we can come back with a third season but for now, we wish you a Merry Christmas and happy festive season.
All the best for 2022!

Hello Creatives!
Welcome to Season Two, Episode Nine of Blue Balloon Theatre's Podcast, 'Be Inspired'; a podcast where we speak to creatives from every corner of the performing arts industry about their role within it, their experiences and what inspires them.
Our guest in this episode is the wonderfully creative, Sophie Coward!
Sophie is an actor-musician, recently adventuring into creating her own work. She is exploring all things multi sensory thanks to Arts Council England. To stay happy and adrenaline filled, she can be found climbing aerial silks, walking up big hills and running at an average pace round South Manchester. It's her first ever podcast so she is very excited... and writing bios in third person still feels odd.
Sophie is so incredibly dedicated to the work that she does and we are continuously inspired by her drive and passion to create and make things happen for herself and others within this industry! Also, thank you for the laughs Sophie, we appreciated it!
As this is our penultimate episode of Season Two, we sincerely hope you enjoyed this episode and invite you to watch and or listen to our final episode which will go live on Monday 20th December at 3pm.

Hello Creatives!
Welcome to a very special episode of Be Inspired, Season Two celebrating our fifth birthday as a theatre company!
In our fourth episode of season two, we chat to the wonderful actor and writer, Ryan Clarke!
Ryan is an actor-writer from Manchester. He has been training with David Johnson Drama in recent years. Ryan has performed in several fringe theatre shows across both Manchester and Edinburgh and is currently in process of writing his own one-man play.
We cannot express how refreshing this chat was! Ryan is a great example to other actors and creatives to follow the right pathway for them and that you don't necessarily have to go to University and or Drama School to be a working creative.
And what a lovely chat to have go live on our fifth birthday as a company! We will be hosting a celebration tonight in the heart of Manchester City Centre to celebrate all we have achieved, with original poetry and music being performed from a variety of northern artists.
