Hello Creatives! 

Welcome to our new Podcast Series, 'Be Inspired', where we chat to a diverse group of creatives from different sectors of the performing arts, in order to leave you feeling inspired, motivated and of course, creative! 

We all know that the past year since COVID-19 hit has been tough and we understand the effect it has had on all of our mental health's, creatives included! 

It is with that in mind that we welcome the absolute tonic, Jenny McIntyre, actor and writer, to the first podcast of the series to discuss her journey as an actor, writer and how she co-founded Bobo Theatre Company.

Hey everyone, it’s Becca from Blue Balloon Theatre. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you for choosing to listen to our podcast, it really means the world.

This was the first podcast we ever recorded and it premiered on our YouTube channel back on 22nd September 2020, as part of our 4th birthday week long celebration.

With some strong language, feminist themes and discussion about sex and contraception, both myself and Jas Nisic, the companies associate director (and my best friend), discuss ‘Pill’, a one act play, written by me, about the contraceptive pill and it’s side effects.

This piece truly marked the beginning of Blue Balloon Theatre, so sit back and get ready to listen to how we made it happen!

We are a Manchester based, not for profit theatre company and we act as a platform for actors and creatives to develop and showcase their own, original writing.

Our aim with all of our work, is to start up creative discussions accessibly, inspire and motivate you when you might need it the most and finally, connect with artists within our community and beyond.
