Eye surveyed 100 women asking the question, “What do you VALUE MORE in a relationship? Attention or Respect?” The results were amazing but as expected based on the type of question. Eye work with a storytelling program called, “The Kite” who believe that stories are more powerful than statistics. The tally from the survey is a statistic but the stories of these women are not told. However, eye asked a woman whom eye walked by the Attention VS Respect question and you’ll see that her story answers attention while her answer to the question is respect. After experiencing a breakup, eye would usually dwell on what eye did wrong and sometimes argue with the person which would usually lead to burning bridges and wrecking any chance of seeing something positive or reflecting on what eye have learned from the relationship. Journaling is a form of reflection and after a breakup reflecting on what was learned, what was gained and how the person was good is important because it can make the difference between holding on to a vision that isn’t meant to be and letting go and moving on. Journaling can also help you positively self reflect so that if you guts were thinking about getting back together, you don’t ruin it by sharing all those hard or negative emotions that are felt immediately after a breakup. Journaling has helped me transition healthily because eye have experienced a few breakups and this was the only one eye feel isn’t negatively effecting and making me feel less worthy and that’s because eye journaled and wrote out things that reminded me of my value and worth inside and outside a relationship.

Quindell Evans goes question for question with Yoga Teaching Artist, Kali Ann, until they have asked 21 questions in total. They uncover their purpose for being artists, share stories about their childhoods and adult lives as well as talk many quirky ideas and advice for other artists who may be in their shoes. Eye am celebrating my life through spoken word, music and writing. 📖 Eye am grateful that eye am able to think of ways to express myself through poetry and song so eye appreciate every moment eye am teaching performing for someone whether on a stage, in a classroom, cafe or bar. 🎤 Every performance is a celebration of life’s experiences which eye share in poetic form. Sometimes eye complain or just say negative things. 🤭 Poetry is that balance for me, that space where eye can praise and be optimistic, where eye can celebrate. Do you have the ability to encourage yourself? To be a self starter?

Do you have the ability to push yourself when it’s hard? Or to push yourself to do something new, something you’ve never done before?

It takes confidence to do these things...to walk the success route.

I got caught up in the habit of only doing things that I’m confident in. That is good but it limits my potential to explore new things. I want to practice being confident when it comes to business deals, business development and networking.

Confidence is important. Knowledge is power and confidence will accelerate that power, allowing the knowledge to be used effectively.

Affirmation: I am confident in myself, my talents and my ability to learn what is necessary for me to create what I want to give and to earn.

On this inaugural episode, Quindell discusses the book, “Upstate” with The Kite FX students, Max, Shaq and Kareem. Max and Kareem has read the entire book but Shaq hasn’t so it was thrilling to discuss what we took from the book. The Kite is working with a national book foundation called Literature For Justice so the students in The Kite FX program are being encouraged to read daily. “Upstate” is just one of the books.
