This is a bit of a noisy podcast on the fly ---but a real life networking story!
I met Kathi Kersznowski at my first NJ Teach Meet a few weeks ago. She gave an engaging 20 min. #Wakelet power session and I wanted to share her with my network so we grabbed a few minutes in a noisy school cafeteria to talk about her brand building journey--talk about real! She is a superstar of tech and teaching, and I loved the noisy buzz for this blur and bland on the fly in South Jersey... Just two Jersey girls talkin' tech, schools, and edu-brand!
Kathi is Technology Integration Specialist at Washington Township Schools in New Jersey, USA. where she directly serves four elementary schools, but also enjoys greater responsibilities as an educational technology leader for her entire district and beyond. She has worked as an elementary teacher, a special education teacher, a computer teacher, and has a Master’s Degree in School Administration. She is a blogger, keynote speaker, and presenter on various educational technology, STEM/STEAM, and leadership topics. She is proud to be an ambassador for several edtech companies including Buncee, Merge, and Wakelet. She is also a #TeachSDGs Global Ambassador, an MIEExpert and Master Trainer, and a Flipgrid Student Voice Ambassador! Find Kathi and learn from her on twitter @kerszi. She is authentically showing her educator brand !
Join me and my guest, Lori Perlow, the Communications Manager for Camden County Educational Services and President of NJ Chapter of National School Public Relations Association. Lori's career started in Business Marketing in NYC for top companies, but she found her home in communication for schools. Her unique path helps her in the blur and blend of today's marketing. She helps schools to share their brand identity in the noise of digital and social.

It's a beautiful weekend in NYC and I'm flexing my podcasting muscle after a great week of work before heading to Louisville, Kentucky to do two speaking engagements! One titled, "Going from BLAND to BRAND" !
On Wed., my work with international marketing students at LIM College NYC was an ideation session about brand image, brand promise and brand result that included the Disney touch including a former CEO of Disney's words to live by! Just had to revisit it with you! I'll be interviewing Annalie Killian at Sparks and Honey on Monday! Also... Look into Team Human by Douglas Rushkoff. In my first NYC podcast on the go from the hip, Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District in NYC, where the buzz of brand is all literally around us, I chat with my colleague and my "Responsible Twitter Stalking" success story, Scott Kerr. I'm proud to say my friend Scott is the Founder of Silvertone Consulting. He shares his personal story of Marketing from selling Marvel comics as a kid to a career spent representing the biggest brands around like Pepsi and BMW. His career path shows the value of a unique personal brand through distinguishing yourself with a blur and blend positioning. Enjoy his story about how design plays an important part in his personal brand marketing. Enjoy his take on building your own personal narrative as well as the narrative of his clients. As we chat inspired by neighboring iconic fashion bands, Chelsea Market, and the new Starbucks "Reserva", join us for a fun road trip about the power of narrative for brands today. I check out Scott daily on @scott_kerr on Twitter and Scott Kerr on LInkedIN and I suggest you do the same if you are interested in what's breaking news for brands!
