Some guys have all the luck, while others have all the sex. You can count all of his sexual partners on 110 hands. Was he picky? Maybe. Maybe not. He says people are shocked that he's kept count for so long, but the math adds up to 550+ guys.
Pete is a tall, lean, sexual machine who came out early in life. He was nine years-old when he told his parents that he identified as LGBTQ+. Since then, he's been on a journey of sexual exploration. He's nothing but honest when we discuss promiscuity and stereotypes that plague gay men. He's open to love, monogamy and a whole lot more!
I met Pete in the early 2000's while living in Jersey City, New Jersey. We hung out at a small local bar. At the time, it was the only place nearby for LGBTQ+ to meet and grab a drink. I remember him for his kindness, smarts, and height. A few of us sat at one of two tall square tables. I was always drinking a Heineken. I used to be a beer guy.
Sometimes there is more than one reason to use a public rest stop. It all begins with a parking spot, a look, and boys being boys. Married men, religious men, all types of men looking for something that's missing.
Meet Jack, a man who talks about his days frequenting public rest stops for anonymous sex. He talks about the buffet of cars filled with guys that are desperate for male interaction. They weren't looking for a soul mate, but someone they could be their authentic selves with while chatting and getting down to business.
I appreciated Jack's openness to discuss such a personal topic. At the time, public restrooms were all over the news. A cluster of politicians were caught in some precarious positions. Lots of shame surrounded their behavior, but we never heard the stories of the other men. Why they were there. What they were looking for. Jack and I discuss the parking lot protocol, conversations he's had while cruising multiple locations and what happens in the woods beyond the parking lot.
I met Jack on a date in the early 2000's at a wine bar in the Financial District of NYC. I remember it being an awful rainy night. We connected over Kelly Clarkson music. He told me her My December album was worth a listen. I loved his laugh and we became fast friends. I need to reconnect.
What happens to two gay men who are waiting in line for slices of pizza?
Joel Diaz caught our attention earlier this year with his blog article, “The Incredible Story of What Happened When Two Gay Men Were Harassed While Waiting for Pizza,” which appeared on The HuffingtonPost.com. We chat with him about his unforgettable night in Columbus, Ohio, and the love every chef (or pizza guy) dreams of baking up!
Apparently the way into anyone’s heart is through a slice of pizza!
There are many different ways to tell someone you’re into them… “I love you,” “I like you,” “I dig you”… and there’s always, I %*@!! and *?%%!!
“Dirty Talk” can always spice up any sexy situation, but it’s important both people speak the same “dirty” language.
What’s a “Little Pig Boy?" It’s time you find out… oink, oink, %*@!!
Some say it’s in the eyes, lips, the way you walk, or the way you kiss. Which type of gaydar do you use to figure out who’s queer or straight?
A new study is examining how a person’s facial symmetry might offer clues to his, her, hirs sexual orientation. Do you give good gay face?
Conversion Therapy was once believed to help change a person’s sexual orientation… sometimes called reparative therapy or even “praying the gay away.”
Samuel Brinton endured multiple forms of what some would call abuse… emotional and physical. He even received electric shock therapy in an effort to “convert” him into a heterosexual orientation.
He was told the government kills gay kids, all gay kids have AIDS and God no longer loved him. Brinton received so much abuse that to this day he still feels shocks when touched by another man.
Find out why you don’t hear much from those who survive conversion therapy, and why the phrase “I can’t change what I didn’t choose” is so true.
* The American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association and American Psychological Association oppose this practice.
There are 24 states where LGBT Americans can be LEGALLY fired because of their sexual orientation, Alaska has limited protections.
In this “best of” bit, the Bo Boys chat with Amy, from Fairbanks, Alaska and hear how she was denied employment because she’s transitioning. Find out why it’s so important the U.S. Government passes the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). Your job may count on it!
The smartphone tags along with us no matter where we go, school, store, and even the sack! It’s the great digital divide that could be driving you and your loved ones apart.
Sexuality Counselor, Ian Kerner says, “Technology allows us to be constantly connected to the world, but it can also make us even more disconnected from each other."
You + mate + smartphone = potential disaster
The Bo Boys learn to keep "it” in their pants and to definitely not bring “it” out during sex.
What happens when you are growing up gay and find yourself having a crush on the quarterback of your high school football team?
Do you just walk up to his locker and ask him out? If you're anything like Josh, you simply write a letter and leave it to the good ole U.S. Postal Service to do the rest. Unfortunately, his crush wasn't the only one who read the message.
This is definitely an oldie, but goodie. This conversation about schoolboy crushes with Josh happened so many years ago. After recording this segment, we hopped on the 4 train to Union Square and headed to the movies. We watched Cloverfield. We sat so close to the screen I remember having to crane my neck to a 90 degree angle. That was the last time I saw Josh. His story is timeless and quite innocent.
Social media has changed the dating landscape forever. Are you able to resist the temptation of keeping up with an ex? We coined the term Cyber Cutting and learn it’s just as painful as a broken heart.
This best of bit also delves deep into whether or not it’s best to break up with a significant other before, during, or even while having sex. Yes, it happens!!!
