Bobs Your Uncle Podcast

Steve Woods plays the violin and never imagined leaving his homeland of England where he taught music at a prestigious school for boys. But God had other ideas for Steve, and took him to Hong Kong, then Sydney, and now after meeting with some indigenous elders in Adelaide, he has been teaching for 2 plus years in an aboriginal school nowhere near Perth, but in Western Australia. You will enjoy his stories!

The historical marker of the week includes Mussolini and Steve Jobs and the number 666.

Dan Kass lives in Kansas City and after being diagnosed with cancer discovered the rip-off system of health care insurance. Since that time 20 years ago, especially as related to PET scans and hidden costs, he has saved his friends and businesses thousands of dollars by being aware and asking the right questions.
His company (HEALTH CARE SHOPPING NETWORK) exists to help businesses and individuals make sense of deductibles and excess and this interview will explain much.

Today's episode features a Jewish holiday, Sukkot in Hebrew. In light of Kanye West's anti-Semitism, we thought to feature MORE Jewish information and be proud of our Jewish identity. From inside the Sukkah, Bob shares some biblical background and some modern considerations of the holiday, The Time of our Rejoicing.

Historical marker of the week features Wilt Chamberlain and a Russian woman cosmonaut.

Featuring the music of Felix Mendelssohn's 3rd symphony, the organ and the choir of the St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland, and readings from Yeshua and the former Rabbi Saul of Tarsus, Bob shares about legacy. What will be yours? What will be his?

Russell Torrance of ABC Classic FM here in Australia shared some thoughts last week which find their way onto the podcast again in light of Jewish influence on classical music and an episode from Budapest and Hitler.

Where is your hope? What is your legacy? Worth the 18 minutes to ponder.
