The characters on this recording are Stupid Kid, played by me, and Professor Perty, played by Mike Davis. We also play our other characters Dr. Frankenfreak, played by Mike, and his hunchback assistant Egor, played by me. The latter characters were inspired by the 1931 Universal film "Frankenstein." I play the monsters Frankie and the Stupid Kid Monster. Mike also played a villager and I can briefly hear my mom, my elementary school chum Jim Damato, our dog Penny. I lifted audio from the LPs "Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House" and "The Haunting." Stupid Kid reads Mad Libs toward the end.

This track has myself playing both the roles of Dr. Frankenfreak and his hunchback assistant Egor. Dr. Frankenfreak plays Bach's "Prelude and Fugue In A Minor." I lifted it and the interrupted intro to "On The Street Where You Live" from the LP "Allied Radio Stereo Demo."

If memory serves, my brother Monte and I sang on this recording inspired by "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

We didn't own a piano when I started plinking out a song they taught us in church (Emmanuel Bible Church in Berwyn, Illinois). Something about the structure of the song "The Master's Touch" (by John E. Walvoord) made me want to figure it out. There's a part that sounds a lot like the theme to "The Prisoner." This is an edited version of the tune I played on a chord organ my folks got me.

My mother, Martha Lee Bohacz, would record herself singing and playing guitar as part of her rehearsals for performing country gospel songs. Our Webcor reel-to-reel tape recorder's erase head was faulty and by accident I recorded parts of two episodes of "Jonny Quest" over my mother rehearsing what I believe to be titled "Jesus is the One." I could have recorded it any time after September 18, 1964 (first airing of "Jonny Quest") when I was 6 years old.

Mom performed music many times live at her church, Emmanuel Bible Church in Berwyn, Illinois, and other places. She often performed with my dad Emilian Anthony Bohacz and their band "Gospel Truth Singers." Dad played harmonica in the band. Friends and I improvise a couple of scenarios. Sounds like Greg Miller is in there, Mike Davis, Mickey Strejc in addition to myself. At one point I can briefly hear my mom calling to us from upstairs.

When Mike Davis and I began hanging out we started, among other things, improvising comedy. We took on different characters and voices and interacted spontaneously to create scenarios. The characters on this recording are Stupid Kid, played by me, and Professor Perty, played by Mike. My elementary school chum James Damato played Dracula.

We were watching a Castle Films 8mm silent movie that documented, if memory serves, NASA space launches from Project Mercury. We acted out our characters to match what we were seeing on screen with the intention of creating a soundtrack for the film. You can hear my projector running in the background. "When You're Hot, You're Hot" dates this recording to after that song's release in March of 1971.
