"My Last Entry" is a story I wrote for my Language Arts class at Irving Elementary School in Berwyn (yes, Svengoolie's Berwyn). I was emulating Edgar Allan Poe. The assignment is dated October 27, 1971. I was 13 years old. I made the audio recording in July of 2022. I play Stupid Kid and the rest of the roles on this recording, including the Stupid Kid Monster, Egor and Frankie. This recording was inspired by the 1931 Universal film "Frankenstein." Gregory Miller used to reluctantly play Frankie when Mike Davis and I would act out our Dr. Frankenfreak and Egor scenarios. I never got Greg on an audio recording as FrankIe and this is a rare Frankie appearance on my recordings.

I used a box full of old toys to create a lot of the sound effects. I especially remember there were cars from a toy train set in the box. I lifted some music from the "Planet of the Apes" soundtrack and sound effects from the LP "Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House." I also used the "Creature Features" TV show theme.

The Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, marked Quasi una fantasia, Op. 27, No. 2, is a piano sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven. It was completed in 1801 and dedicated in 1802 to his pupil Countess Julie "Giulietta" Guicciardi. The name Moonlight Sonata (German: Mondscheinsonate) grew popular later, likely after Beethoven's death. Here's my chord organ version of the first movement. My appreciation of Beethoven came from viewing "A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor (WoO 59, Bia 515) for solo piano, commonly known as "Für Elise" (German: transl. For Elise), is one of Ludwig van Beethoven's most popular compositions. It was not published during his lifetime, only being discovered (by Ludwig Nohl) 40 years after his death, and may be termed either a Bagatelle or an Albumblatt. The identity of "Elise" is unknown; researchers have suggested Therese Malfatti, Elisabeth Röckel, or Elise Barensfeld. I'm playing my chord organ version for my nephew Jimmy. My appreciation of Beethoven came from viewing "A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
