The beatings continue, but morale does not improve... the story does however. There is a new horrific revelation about the master's faces, forcing one character the be on the run, not for his life (just yet), but definitely for his love's life.

In this commentary session, we talk about how the dark literature inspirations we used to create this world continues to drive the campaign in dark directions. We also note the connections with some well known tropes and some real world inspirations. Corrupt governments bent on controlling it's citizens, clandestine groups plotting to replace the status quo with something "better" at any cost, and Jordan sums up what these inspirations have created... "An exploration of the worst side of humanity."

In this first play episode of the game, we get our feet wet learning how this system works, and there is much ado about the desire of a potato. Gregor and Yuri show us that it is near impossible to please the master. But even if you do, the rewards are just as horrific as the punishments.

Clandestine train station meetings, cryptic and misleading phone conversations, paranoia of being a sitting duck while helpless in the hospital... we hit a myriad of mystery tropes, but the story is heating up as the threat seems to be more complex than anticipated.  And at the end even the unassumingly innocent reveal something horrifically magical.

For episode 200 we invite a special guest and original cast member, Carlin, back to the table. We fittingly decided to play a game all about how a master torments his minions. You'd think we'd be used to it by now after 200 episodes under Jordan's rule as GM, but we'll see if he step's up his game.
