While we might try to hide our weaknesses from others, we don't need to hide our needs from God. Not only does He already know them, but He wants us to humbly come to Him and Express Our Neediness.

That's the "E" in the REST prayer acronym. And that's what this week's Prayers of REST podcast episode is all about, based on 1 John 5:14-15: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Oh friends, what a gift that our God welcomes us to come to Him just as we are, but never sends us away just as we came. He is a good Father, and we can confidently express our needs to Him.
