Based on the 1945 novel by Evelyn Waugh, BRIDESHEAD REVISITED spans from the 1920s to the 1940s centering on the romantic attraction of Charles Ryder (Jeremy Irons) to the wealthy Anglo Catholic yet self-destructive Flyte family. Charles is seduced by the family’s charm through a close friendship with the 2nd son, Sebastian Flyte (Anthony Andrews), when Charles and Sebastian are both students at Oxford University.
