In this informal "exit interview" recorded on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Saunders looks back on her time leading one of the oldest institutions in the Evergreen State - which includes the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma and a number of statewide programs - and being the first woman to do so. She shares advice for her successor, and describes what she'll be doing at the New York State Museum in Albany, New York when she begins her new job there in September.
