Join Maggie McReynolds of BookJourneys Radio as she interviews author Cindi Laree on the writing and publishing of her book, Flipping the Fairytale.
Cindi did not realize how easy it would be to write her book once she got it out of her head. She could not envision the writing process but felt that she was "called" to write the book with her tendency to have colorful experiences in dating. She felt that the topic picked her instead of the other way around. "I had had too many crazy dating stories, and lessons learned not to share them with others," she said.
Join Maggie McReynolds, host of BookJourneys Radio, as she interviews author Ken Leinbach on the writing and publishing of his book, Urban Ecology: A Natural Way to Transform Kids, Parks, Cities, and the World.
Ken began work on his book knowing that his life's work needed to be published and it ended up being "a spectacular adventure" (hiw own words) having taken a sabbatical which allowed him to focus, all the while trusting in Dr. Angela Lauria's process in The Author Incubator. "Getting the level of people for both my forward and my advanced praise quotes was both surprising, affirming and a ton of fun," he said.
Join Maggie McReynolds of The Author Incubator as she interviews author Sarah Nannen on the writing and publishing of her book, Grief Unveiled: A Widow's Guide to Navigating Your Journey in Life After Loss.
When Sarah started with her book, she didn't realize that she was going to write it three times and that she had to step out of real life and make sense of the writing process by checking into a writing sanctuary.
Given the difficulties she encountered in putting her thoughts onto paper, it was not hard for her to focus on the subject as she's both a widow and grief coach, so she knew what she needed to share. All she needed was a clear path to finishing the book, which was provided perfectly by The Author Incubator.

When Jiayuh started writing her book, it turned her world upside down and it changed her, but all in a good way. She has found the courage to do things she never thought she could before being an author.
Angela Lauria's visualization meditation helped her realize her book even before it was in her hand and she also used techniques explained in the book itself, accessing her Akashic Records and asking for guidance to understand the spiritual truth behind hurdles such as writer's block.

Join Jenn McRobbie as she interviews author Lori Losch on the writing and publishing of her book, Rather than Rehab: Quit Bulimia and Upgrade Your Life.
According to Lori, it was the topic for her book that picked her, which allowed her to write about her experiences and journey of healing from an eating disorder. She said it gave her focus, though it did involve havng to revisit emotions from the past.
"So, I've been able to share pieces of myself that otherwise remain hidden," she said. "This has brought a deeper connection with so many people, women especially."
Join Jenn McRobbie of The Author Incubator as she interviews author Sarah Richardson on the writing and publishing of her book, From Sidelines to Start Lines: The Frustrated Runner's Guide to Lacing Up for a Lifetime.
When Sarah starting writing her book, she had no idea it would be so much fun and how it would serve her business well. "The book has given me so much clarity and confidence around my business and that has been a wonderful surprise!" she said, adding that it had opened up a whole new unexpected world of opportunity.
Since her business involved helping frustrated runners get back in their groove, it made sense for her to write about the topic, especially since it had been her focus for years. Knowing from feedback that her book was able to speak directly to her audience was nothing short of amazing for her.
Join Jenn McRobbie of The Author Incubator as she interviews author Ilia Blandina on the writing and publishing of her book, Give Birth A Chance: How to Prepare for an Empowered VBAC.
Ilia has been working in obstetrics as a nurse midwife since the 1980s and it was only natural for her to author this book. With her professional background and years of experience, she can definitely help women in preparing for an empowered Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).
"With the rise of the c/s rate in my community, I knew it was an important message in order to empower women's birth choices," she said. She explained that it was also the result of her discontentment at the medical system and its efforts to control birth and sidelining the sacred and emotional aspects of the process, which ultimately limit the informed consent process and birth choices of expecting women.
Join Jenn McRobbie as she interviews author Cheryl Ale on the writing and publishing of her book, The Spark: The Legacy that Changed the Dance World.
Cheryl explains The Spark as something which lives in all of us. "It is the awareness, the anticipation, the a-ha of everyday," she told Dr. Angela Lauria of The Author Incubator. She explained that it's based on classical ballet specifically, which needed to get "that spark" again.
Ballet was the subject which she naturally chose for her book since she grew up with this legacy, with her mother believing that dance could straighten her body. There was an alignment not just of the physical, but also a spiritual awakening. The Spark is for creative artists and dancers-turned-teachers who are now struggling with the complexities of teaching.
