Join Jenn McRobbie, Vice President of The Author Incubator, as she interviews author Kimberly Benjamin on the writing and publishing of her book, Attorney by Day, Novelist by Night. In writing her book, Kim realized that the important thing was what the finished book would mean for her readers. When she oriented herself that way and put herself in her readers' shoes, everything changed. So, instead of writing for herself, she began writing for her ideal reader - attorneys who write on the side or wish to get into writing but have essentially left their creative and expressive selves on a shelf somewhere. Kim's passion for writing and helping others made it easy for her to see the book to completion. It's what allowed her to overcome the doubt, frustration, and anxiety that were hindrances to fulfilling her goal. Her publisher also helped a lot in keeping her focused on her readers. Writing this book was a dream of Kim and realizing it became more fulfilling because of her landed role as a life coach who helped people live their dream life. Now it's her time to live her dream.
