As we get ready to turn the page on a new year, you may be facing the transition of your child graduating from high school this spring. I remember the pride and joy of that time for my boys, but I also remember it being a really hard year for me as a mom.
So when I connected with Karen Jolly in Jenna Kutcher’s Goal Digger Podcast FB group, I knew I wanted her as a guest on the show.
Karen is the author of “The Journey of Love and Letting Go: Navigating Your Child's Senior Year with Grace”. We talk about her path to writing her book and encouragement for you if your child’s senior year isn’t going as you planned.
Plus Karen shares self-publishing tips especially for you in the empty nest season and also what’s working well for her to market your book.

We often talk about marketing your book before it's published but what does that really look like? Especially on a podcast?
That’s the question we’re answering today with my special guest, Billie Jauss. Billie is the author of several books including Baseball Family: Nine Core Qualities for Developing Healthy Relationships, and she also hosts The Family Room podcast. Billie is married to a professional baseball coach and has three adult sons also employed in the sport. Needless to say this girl knows a lot about baseball and family.
This is Billie’s first time as a guest but you may be familiar with her name as I shared tips from her as a podcast host on episodes 124 and 100 because she is so generous and full of wisdom!
Billie shares how she identifies her target readers’ pain points and connection points to share her book in a way that’s serving her readers not selling to them on podcasts.
