“We Rejoice in Christ”
March 4 – March 10, 2024
WEEK 10: SUMMARY
=================
This week, we head into our second full week of studying the writings of Isaiah. This week’s chapters focus on historical events in the regions around Jerusalem as mighty kingdoms rise and fall. Each one will help us understand that the promises of God are always kept. In chapter 25, Nephi will add his own commentary about how to understand Isaiah’s symbolic writing style. Finally, he’ll end with powerful testimony about the unique, redemptive power of Jesus Christ.
Questions for week 10
2 Nephi 20:25 | Since God is not subject to time, why do you think He speaks about time at all?
2 Nephi 21:16 | What types of highways do you see in our world today that are inadvertently helping the gathering?
2 Nephi 24:15-16 | How do you see the wicked Kings and the adversary demonstrating the regret and torment of the mind Joseph Smith described?
2 Nephi 25:1-3 | How were the Scribes and Pharisees of Jesus’ day guilty of looking beyond the mark? Are we guilty of the same issue at times? (see Renlund Oct 2023)
2 Nephi 25:13 | What does it mean to “magnify the Lord” (see Wright Oct 2023)
