Honorée Corder is a strategic book coach who helps professionals and entrepreneurs become authors. She helps them turn their books into multiple income streams by leveraging their education, experience, and knowledge. Honorée is also a best-selling author, writing 53 books in 39 different languages. After spending decades in masterminds herself, Honorée founded her Empire Builders Mastermind. I personally am a member and I’ve been learning so much from Honorée when it comes to developing my own programs.
Honorée and I chat about what it takes to put together a successful mastermind and how to invite people in, whether they’re peers or clients. Some of the most important things to consider are an outcome and a timeframe. If you’re leading a mastermind, you want to make sure you love the way it’s structured so you’re motivated to keep it going. If you’re hesitant to start a mastermind because you don’t think you’re at a high enough level yet, chances are you have way more knowledge than you think. A great way to dip your toes in mastermind creation is to pick a shorter timeframe and make your program curriculum-based. Selecting the right members is key, so think about putting some kind of application process in place.

Paul Brodie is a multi-best-selling author and the CEO of Brodie Consulting Group. He helps people share their stories with a proven system that works through book launch marketing, book publishing, and virtual summits. Paul’s launched over 70 consecutive best-selling books for his clients since 2015. I’m thrilled to have him on so he can share his high-ticket strategy with us. Paul started his book publishing journey after a health scare in 2015 and his story is super inspiring. He then started public speaking and others approached him for advice on how they could get their message out into the world. Paul started coaching and then started offering done-for-you services, including a virtual summit service.
Done-for-you services are great high-ticket offerings because you can guarantee results. Paul offers his clients the chance to position themselves as thought leaders in their industry. It can be easier to sell done-for-you services at a higher price because your potential clients can see the value. When pricing your programs, you have to be confident, but also realize that it will take time to scale. Many people start out coaching first and build content. Then, you can consider repackaging your services. Done-for-you services help you build credibility while getting your clients the results they desire.

Troy Broussard is a prolific author, entrepreneur, software developer, and high-end private coach. He’s also the founder of four SaaS platforms with more on the way. I’m also in his coaching program, full disclosure. What impresses me the most about Troy is that he’s so down to earth, and shares his wisdom, and I thought he’d be the perfect person to discuss high ticket offers with. Troy got his start in writing for back-end sales, and he wrote his first book about it. He delayed writing it and then delayed the publishing process, which he says really cost him. Troy advises anyone who has an idea for a book to just get started.
If you want to create a lucrative revenue stream on the back end, you’ll want to write a thought leader book, a methodology book, or what Troy calls a “positional authority” book. It helps to create your book with the end in mind and “sculpt” the content accordingly. If you’ve already written a book and feel like it was the wrong one, don’t panic – you can use that book as a lead generation tactic or a bonus. Some people feel that holding back content to get people to buy your products but providing people with as much valuable information as possible always leaves them wanting more.

One of the most interesting things to me is learning how other entrepreneurs think. In my anthology series, The Co-Author Project, we do two to three books per year. We take authors on to contribute chapters and make sure the book hits bestseller on Amazon. They also get attached to the “code” series, which currently has 100 authors across five different books. The beauty of being a contributor to this series is that when one author sends someone to one book, they send them to all five, which is great for exposure. These books get awesome reviews and people love them. They’re like a junior version of “Chicken Soup for the Soul”.
Join me on a 7.5-mile walk as I talk through my updated sales funnel for the latest anthology. I’m sharing my thought process, including my framework for writing copy and the importance of starting out with an origin story. I’ll also go through the three roadblocks to why someone wouldn’t buy into an anthology and how to resolve them. I take you through the four points of creating value in an offer and the value of increasing your status by adding books to your library.
