Book reviews, author interviews, and entertainment I am looking at. Join me and uncover a whole new world of books and discover some new shows along the way!
It is a crazy time in the world of sports as Baseball is on hold. There is the Djokovic fiasco in tennis and, of course, lots of reasons not to watch the Olympics. I look at why I cover foreign stories on science and technology and ponder why US media refuses to cover these amazing stories both here and from abroad. We look at the new threats that Russia has made to bring military deployment to both Cuba and Venezuela and try to figure out exactly what the Biden Administration’s foreign relations policies really are. Finally, we look at the President's incendiary Voting Rights/anti-Filibuster speech which even got much criticism from the progressive left. I take next week off due to another big winter storm coming to Greenville, as well as that my daughter Sara will be here for a visit and we will be celebrating a belated Christmas!

The dirty little secret that the media will not tell you is that the Dems are just as guilty of gerrymandering as the GOP. We expose this issue in today's episode. We examine the “toughest” EU sanctions against Belarus and find out they are rather toothless! Also, we have a brief look at the Theranos trial of Elizabeth Holmes. Also, we look at a federal power grab relating to High Voltage Power lines, a lawsuit in Nevada to stop Geothermal power plant being built on religious tribal grounds, and an all-electric development of 19,333 homes that will actually put a quarter-million metric tons of carbon into the atmosphere, Oops! Germany will miss their climate goals for 2022 & 23, but nuclear energy still is a contentious issue in the EU. The EU cannot agree on much of anything other than their banning of Tattoo ink! Ah yes, so many issues. And I will be back on Monday with a new episode of Views on the News!

I also discuss the possible demise of the movie musicals and what now attracts moviegoers. The US and Finland are involved in a super new project for an undersea internet cable system. And we conclude with some New Years' wishes.
