There is a lot of noise out there from the sports pundits; most of it being negative. Of course, they love throwing dirt on these two schools because they just hate the fact that they decided to move. They are perpetuating the myth that they contacted the SEC with no prompting and that they are evil and bad for college athletics. The CFP committee already chose to punish OU for it in their initial rankings putting other one loss teams in front and everyone delights in throwing dirt on UT's football program. This week whether or not to get the vaccine is discussed. Spoiler alert YES if you're a Boomer as you are right in the risk group. We can do 10 shows on all the irregularities that have been involved in this whole situation and all the lies and cancel culture perpetrated by YOUR own government. However, at the roost of this question is whether that is separate from your choice to get the vaccine or not. It isn't whose friend's cousin's mother's BFF got the shot and dropped dead (at the tender age of 78) the next day. It's whether or not you're going to make a rational health care decision for yourself based on the health considerations alone.Support the show

We all know that the generations after the Baby Boomers blame all the problems they and the world have on them. Much the same was done by a lot of Boomers in their youth. They talked about high minded ideals, freedom and equality and so forth. You can debate the sincerity of it but then compare it with the ignorant and foul mouthed rantings of millennials and younger when they discovered that their candidate doesn't always win in 2016. So many years of participation trophies and self-esteem coddling meant they lost it. Also, the lack of education evidenced by the atrocious language in this segment shows that when given the opportunity to "be heard" online they squander it. You'll say that this is only the left...and probably you are right; in both senses of the word. I haven't bleeped anything so remember what my Grandma used to say, "Cursing is neither intelligent nor attractive and one who resorts often to it shows a lack of vocabulary and breeding".Support the show

This episode delves into one of the reasons that Boomers are blamed and, indeed, hated by many of the generations after it is that we still believe that words mean things. We don't subscribe to the ridiculous reframing of the English language down to new  and multiple pronouns. We don't agree that just saying you are something and that something exists means you are a science denier, racist or hatemonger. As referenced earlier in an episode of this podcast, we aren't great at the game of Let's Pretend. We see things and we confront them head on within a framework of reality. We don't approach real (or even imagined) problems within a fantasy bubble. Therefore we are out of step with the woke, pc, gloom and doom bunch that is sweeping reality away and we are hated for stopping "progress".Support the show
