Pat has founded several ventures like SPI Media, The smart passive income podcast, Switchpod, and FuseBox.fm to name a few.
Pat started the Smart Passive Income blog with the intention to help online entrepreneurs get started and stay on the right path. Pat uses his experience to help others answer the questions he once faced and shares the tools and techniques that have worked for him.
Flynn saw the power of passive income when he taught a test-prep course for architects in training. His course brought him over $200,000 in revenue over the next year. Instead of developing more courses, though, Flynn started training others on how to do the same.
Pat also started the Smart Passive Income podcast in 2010 as a tool for learning business strategies and tactics and it is now one of the top business podcasts which was featured in The New York times and have more than 60 million downloads.
Pat Flynn and Matt Gartland are the partners behind Smart Passive Income (SPI). Smart Passive Income is a media company elevating entrepreneurs to within reach of their dreams.
Matt Gartland is the co-founder and CEO of Smart Passive Income, FuseBox, and advises several tech startups.
Matt is an expert when it comes to operations, finance, pricing, product development, and customer experience as well as empowering marketing and sales.
They believe in empowering other leaders, teams, and organizations to achieve their potential through sustainable growth.

Apple is actually going to start its own ads platform, and they are going to start showing ads to Apple product users. So Apple obviously has become a huge powerhouse when it comes to gaining the attention of people.
Now, the thing is that last year, Apple made a change in their policy they stopped sharing detailed information about consumers, with companies like Facebook and Snapchat, and other social media platforms.
So what that did was it sort of limited the ability of these social media platforms to show contextual ads to the consumer. But now it is becoming clear why Apple did that because they actually wanted to cut off that data stream to the partners like Facebook and others as I mentioned, but on the flip side, they wanted to use that to their own advantage.
Now, it remains to be seen how the industry is going to react to this.

Conversational AI is taking over the world. And what that means is that companies can scale their call centres, their customer service departments to a massive scale without hiring a lot of customer service representatives. Not only that, but they can standardise and really personalise the conversations based on what the consumer is looking for. This not only provides readily available customer service to the clients, so the wait times go lower, but it also provides exactly the solution that people are looking for.

FinTech companies are changing the world that we transact, how we exchange money, how, and how we move money internationally and domestically. But there is a great threat to this industry, cybersecurity, you know, cybercrime is on the rise. And it has increased by 1000s of percent in the last three years. The primary target for cyber crimes tends to be financial institutions, or companies dealing with finance technology. Why? Because that's where the money is. You see the malicious user, know how to follow the money, and they follow these companies, and they try to attack them with things like stealing the funds, which may not be traceable. So all these problems are plaguing the financial industry.
