In the final episode of 2022 Breeza and Maso called upon their online community to send in stories that needed a 'thank-you shout-out' to someone or something.

From über drivers to parents to random people, to entire continents - there are many people and things that look after intoxicated people, so it’s time to say thanks.

Yes, this is a light-hearted episode, and the girls and their community are here to tell the tale, but unfortunately, many people are not because of drunk accidents, drunk drivers, or acts of violence while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. Broken bones, blackouts, and bottles of tequila were the norm for Scotty.  During the lockdown in Melbourne, solo drinking became a regular activity for him.  Alcohol was his friend.....and enemy.

After seeing a family member go through a body transformation, which included no booze, Scotty decided that enough was enough, and he dropped the bottle.  So what does being sober and part of the queer community look like?  In this episode, Scotty tells Breeza and Maso about how and why he quit booze, and what challenges he still faces today.

Remember Farmer Dave from Big Brother in 2006 and 2022?  Breeza and Maso sure do, the girls had a mega crush on him back in the day!  Dave is now a sober lad, and he is projecting out some huge sober-boy-from-the-country vibes!

Behind this ruggedly handsome man, Dave, there is a story.  A story of social anxiety, a story of being the fun party guy, a story of life in the country, and a story of resilience and triumph over the bottle.   Dave loves a yarn, he loves his dogs, and he loves the work he does with teenagers to keep them on the right track.  In 2020 he realised that if he was to help teenagers make the right decisions, then he too needed to make the right decisions, and lead by example.  But it's how Dave stepped away from booze, literally, that makes his story so heartwarming.

What a great bloke Dave is, the girls have now gone from a crush to obsessed with him!  This ep is a corka! #punintended.

Ever bantered with someone who has never been drunk before? Neither had Breeza and Maso until they had this chat with First National Real Estate CEO, Ray Ellis.  The girls have officially dubbed Ray, a 'ray of sunshine.'  

Ray finds joy in the simple things, this was something that was instilled in him at a young age by his Grandma.  After seeing a couple of guys perched up at a bar and not looking too well, Ray decided that booze was never going to be for him, so he just never drank!

In a culture that normalises binge drinking, it's hard to believe that Ray has never been drunk, but as you'll learn in this episode Ray doesn't need booze to enhance his mood or to party with.  Ray speaks about booze in the corporate world, and where he sees it fitting in.  Whatever your relationship is with booze, you will learn a great deal in this ep.  Thanks Ray!

Ever woken up after a sesh, with your heart racing and the feeling of dread and thinking 'what did I do last night?' And what about social anxiety - booze can cure that too right?

In ep 54 Breeza and Maso unpack the Xieties! Maso shares a recent bout of sober social anxiety she experienced, and how she worked through that booze-free.   As the girls discover, they have both had bouts of social anxiety and have suffered from hangxiety, but just accepted that it came with drinking.

Any anxiety is not pleasant, and according to the girls' IG survey, MANY of you have experienced it through drinking alcohol.    Have you tried reducing your booze intake or getting off it completely for a period of time?  This episode may just make you want to give it a crack!

Welcome to part B of Breeza and Maso's chat with Fiona O'Loughlin.

In this episode Fiona talks about her ADHD diagnosis, which has helped her make sense of her mind, her way of thinking, and her addiction.   She shares a story about how she thought she wouldn't be funny without drinking and how one chance conversation changed her outlook. 
 
Through everything Fiona has been through (both in and out of the public eye), she is now giving back and helping others.   Addiction affects 1 in 10 people, Fiona wants to change the conversation about addiction and tackle the stigma and misinformation that stops people getting the help they need.

Fiona reads a page from her book, Truths from an Unreliable Witness, it's a beautiful moment and one that Breeza and Maso were very touched by.  

The girls wish nothing but light, love and happiness for Lady O'Loughlin.

Fiona O'Loughlin is Australian comedy royalty!   As well as a critically acclaimed stand-up comedian, Fiona O'Loughlin is an accomplished Writer, TV presenter and Media Personality.  Her story doesn't stop there, Fiona is a recovering alcoholic, and over the last 15 years has been fighting the disease of addiction.

In part A, Fiona shares her most difficult moments with alcohol, her attempts to end her own life, what made her pick up the bottle time and time again, her guilt and shame, and her raw emotion when it comes to her family.

Fiona brings the lol's while sharing her story, so enjoy this ep folk.
