#freshfriday is a little late this week. I always want to put out the best quality content that I can and my early attempts at recording were not up to scratch.

We've arrived on a fresh, uninhabited planet so we can start the process of making a better world. That's right, I've finally gotten around to trying out Satisfactory on Linux now that early access has finished!

Coffee Stain Studios have clearly put a lot of effort into this game over its many years of early access, and Satisfactory 1.0 is absolutely a testament to that.

Today we're checking a really cool looking FREE first person shooter, The AMC Squad! This is a Build Engine (yes, that Build Engine - EDuke32 specifically) game which takes place after the events of the Duke Nukem games, and is available for free on all major platforms!

I'm having a heap of fun playing this. The graphics and sound work is super detailed, and you can tell a lot of love has been put into making this game, and while some of the voice acting isn't the best, you can't really ask for much more in a completely free game.

This is a one off #FreshFriday for YouTube, however I'll be continuing to play this over on my Peertube channel, so hop on over there and check it out if you want to follow how I go with this one!

Time for another episode of Shadows of Doubt: Alexandria. The body count in our beautiful(?) city is piling high and we're desperate to stem the tide of murders. In today's case, things might not quite be as they seem (or are they - you'll have to watch along to find out!) Get ready for a video chock-a-block with Shadows of Doubt murder cases!

Still a few bugs popping up in my playthrough (some possibly legacy bugs to do with the original procedural generation of the map), but I think for a steam early access experience it's still going wonderfully. I know I say this every video, but this is 100% going to end up on my best indie games 2023 list. It's also a great example of how Steam Next Fest can really set up a game for success - I absolutely found out about this one from some impressions from its free demo back in February.

We're back today in the procedurally generated Alexandria in Shadows of Doubt. After our (relative) success in the first case of our career, a new murderer is on the lose. The state sponsored media is calling them the Bloody Butcher, after the gruesome scene of their first crime. It's up to us to find and apprehend them before they kill again!

I've got to say, my Shadows of Doubt impressions so far have been excellent - I'm really enjoying the game, and I'm quite excited to see how it develops along its early access journey - definitely a contender on the list of best indie games 2023!
