On today's pod we are doing our first ever crossover podcast with "The End of the Bench Show."  Scott Castellano and Pat Milano from "The End of the Bench Show" have joined us for Part 1 of our 2-Part Crossover Pod Series.  We had a blast recording with these guys and we think you'll really enjoy this one.  We talk all thing Jets (11:30), from Sam Darnold, Adam Gase, Joe Douglas, to whether or not the butt fumble was the worst Jets moment in our lifetimes. The Jets are so bad the biggest point of discussion in Jets Talk lately hasn't been, "Will they get the #1 pick in the 2021 Draft?", it has been, "Are the Jets so bad that Trevor Lawrence will return to Clemson next year to avoid playing with the Jets?"  On today's pod we have brought on Dan Cesternino to discuss why we think this is ridiculous, and why Trevor Lawrence is absolutely leaving Clemson and turning pro, even if the Jets pick first (7:31).  In addition to talking Lawrence, Dan shares his frustrations on the current state of the Jets (30:58).  Before getting into all this though, we bring Dan into the Tortured Fan Corner, where Dan shares a painful Jets memory (2:39).  At the end of the pod, we make our Week 7 NFL Picks (47:07).

The NFL Trade Deadline is approaching so we brought in John Hill to discuss the possibility of not just trading Sam Darnold, but trading Sam Darnold right now (17:37)!  After discussing what we think the Jets could get in a trade for Darnold, and who they might be able to trade him to, we ponder the trade value for many other members of the 2020 Jets (33:13).  However, before assessing the trade value of all the players on the Jets, we break down Mark Sanchez's performance on the Masked Singer (1:38), and bring John Hill into the Tortured Fan Corner to share a painful, but hilarious Jets memory (4:30).

We recorded this podcast on Tuesday evening, October 13th.  This is significant because right after talking about what we thought the Jets could get in a trade for Le'Veon Bell (43:44), as we were recording, we experienced a moment of podcast magic and found out about Bell being cut while we were recording the podcast (47:20)!  In addition to getting to hear our very raw reactions to Bell being cut, we spend the majority of the podcast having the Great Joe Douglas debate with Friend of the Pod, Lance Kravitz.  Lance is an extremely critical Jets fan, and on this pod he totally let's loose, starts ripping the Jets and does not stop.  Lance comes into the Tortured Fan Corner (2:11), and then gives his reasons, contrary to ours, about why he thinks Joe Douglas has done a lousy job as Jets GM (10:56).  At the end of the pod we make our Week 6 NFL Picks (50:15).  We had a lot of fun recording this pod and we really think you are going to enjoy it!

Two months ago we recorded an episode "What was the Worst Knicks Trade of the 21st Century," and when we recorded that podcast we declared the Kristaps Porzingis trade to be the worst.  However, as we have watched the NBA Playoffs unfold, it got us thinking that this subject needed to be revisited.  Between Kristaps Porzingis getting hurt during the Dallas Mavericks first round series, and more importantly, Jamal Murray (who the Denver Nuggets drafted in 2016 with one of the draft picks they acquired in the 2011 Melo deal) emerging as a legitimate NBA Superstar, we felt that this subject was worthy of a new podcast.  Friend of the Pod, Chris Meany joins us on this episode (2:10), as he jumps into the "Tortured Fan Corner (6:53)", and then helps us decide if the Kristaps Porzingis deal is still the Worst Knicks Trade of the 21st Century (20:03).

On last week's podcast we discussed the idea that if the Jets end up with the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, they should trade that pick to acquire a boatload of draft capital.  Friend of the Pod, Travis Williams (@Trav8788) went on Twitter and vehemently disagreed with our take, saying that the Jets should absolutely take Trevor Lawrence if they land the #1 pick.  Therefore, this week we brought Travis on the pod to share his thoughts on Trevor Lawrence (24:30).  As an avid college football fan, Travis educates us on what makes Trevor Lawrence so special and why he is going to be great in the NFL.  He even gives us some thoughts on the #2 ranked QB in the 2021 NFL Draft, Ohio State QB, Justin Fields.  However, before we get into the Trevor Lawrence discussion, Travis shares a painful Jets memory in the "Tortured Fan Corner (1:52)", and on the eve of a Thursday Night Football game against the Denver Broncos, we discuss the current state of the Jets and the potential firing of Adam Gase (11:22).  At the end of the pod we make our Week 4 picks (39:00).

The Jets are 0-2 and have looked like the worst team in football through two weeks.  That being said, we do think there are still some positives that can be taken away from these first two weeks and at the top of the pod, we break them down as we review the Jets week 2 loss to the 49ers (0:07).  Then we get into the tanking discussion.  The Jets are clearly tanking, however we think it may not be for Trevor Lawrence (16:09).  We take a pretty in-depth look on what the Jets may do with the #1 overall pick if they do in fact end up with the worst record in the NFL this season.  At the end of the pod, we make our Week 3 picks (46:57).
