Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah of Brunei, as well the captain of the National Brunei Netball Team, Royal Bees has gotten herself into netball by "luck". In week 3 of our Born to be Wild Challenge, you'll hear from the Princess herself and her aspirations to grow netball further. Everyone fails at some point of their life; and the Princess makes it clear that failure is apart of everything, it's apart of us, and we have to overcome it. "Learning from failures is what sets us apart from everyone else."
The most common issue in sports is injuries that put most athletes careers on hold; Princess was "distraught" after her knee injury. Mentally it got to her and she wasn't sure whether she'd come back to netball. By her second knee injury she wanted to give up.
Princess reached out to our incredible leader, Kim Green back in 2017 when she hurt her knee via an Instagram message and Kim replied. Princess says "the fact I reached out and for her to actually reply, made me push myself and made me say I am going to come back to netball" and she got that inspiration to be apart of the international team again.
