  • DJ Trump Goes to Phoenix
President Donald Trump came to Phoenix and, at least as far as he and his rabid supporters are concerned, ferreted out the real problem.
Can you guess? Yes. The media. DJ Trump, speaking before an adoring crowd, called the media the “real source” of division in the country. He spent nearly 45 minutes of a rambling, remarkably disturbing address attacking the media, which has committed the evidently unpardonable sin of pointing out the problems his administration has had in its first seven months.“These are sick people.” “They’re dishonest people. They’re bad people.” “I’m really doing this to show how damn dishonest these people are.” “The very dishonest media … they make up stories.”There’s more. CNN “fired Jeffrey Lord. Poor Jeffrey.” AZCentral

  • The funeral of Heather Heyer
“She always had a very strong sense of right and wrong. She always, even as a child, was very caught up in what she believed to be fair,They tried to kill my child to shut her up, but guess what, you just magnified her,. Somehow I almost feel that this is what she was born to be, is a focal point for change. I’m proud that what she was doing was peaceful. She wasn’t there fighting with people,Talk is fear to them, Bro responded, describing the white nationalists. “I don’t know why. Talk is fear.”” Heyer’s mother, Susan Bro

  • Alabama Defects Mitch McConnell
Sen. Luther Strange into a runoff with conservative jurist Roy Moore for the right to fill Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s old seat.Strange was endorsed by President Trump, the National Rifle Association and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s super PAC, which spent $2.5 million on TV ads to boost him in Tuesday’s primary. Moore told his supporters: “This is a great victory. The attempt by the silk-stocking Washington elitists to control the vote of the people of Alabama has failed.”
WINNERS Roy Moore: Strange got the support of the president and the Senate majority leader. Brooks got the support of big-name conservatives including Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter.

  • Alabama Senatorial Primary
An endorsement from President DJ Donald Trump and his position as the incumbent, Sen. Luther Strange has been unable to hold off surging challenger Roy Moore heading into Tuesday’s Alabama Republican Senate primary election. A poll recently released by the Trafalgar Group shows Moore leading Strange 37.72 percent to 24.42 percent. However, an Emerson College Polling poll shows the two candidates in a virtual dead heat, with Strange leading 32 percent to 29 percent, meaning this race is too close to call. In the latest JMC Analytics and Polling survey, Moore is well ahead of the pack among self-described evangelical Christians, with 38 percent. RRH Elections poll shows the race for first place in the primary tight between former State Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore (R) and appointed Sen. Luther Strange (R). Moore leads Strange 31% to 29%, with both candidates likely to appear in a runoff. Rep. Mo Brooks (R) trails in third with 18%.
