  • The Scoutmaster
Trump reminded the crowd of his victory against Hillary Clinton in the November presidential election and thanked Americans for supporting him after he lost the popular vote to her. "Do you remember that famous night on television, November 8?" Trump asked. He said his ascendance to the White House was "an unbelievable tribute to you and all of the other millions and millions of people that came out and voted for Make America Great Again."
"As the scout law says, a scout is trustworthy, loyal," Trump said, before adding, "We could use some more loyalty, I will tell you that." As he spoke, the crowd chanted "U.S.A" and applauded, prompting some critics of the president, who has the lowest approval ratings in modern history, to compare his rhetoric to the Hitler Youth
The Boy Scouts of America said in a statement after the speech that the organization did not endorse Trump or any "position, product, service, political candidate or philosophy." The group has a tradition of inviting sitting presidents to address its annual gathering.

  • Your Privacy and the Disneyland Commission on (Election Integrity)
Judge Kollar-Kotelly on Monday allowed President Trump’s voting commission to go forward with seeking voter data from 50 states and the District, ruling that the White House advisory panel is exempt from federal privacy review requirements, whatever additional risk it might pose to Americans’ information. To the extent the factual circumstances change, however — for example, if the . . . powers of the Commission expand beyond those of a purely advisory body — this determination may need to be revisited.”Kollar-Kotelly wrote that the only added risk to privacy was if the White House computer systems are more vulnerable to security threats than those of the states, or that its de-identification process would be inadequate.Marc Rotenberg, the president of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, said in a statement that the group “will push forward. The Commission cannot evade privacy obligations by playing a shell game with the nation’s voting records.”WP

I 'm all for the first amendment, but is it fair for tv lawyers like jeffrey toobin to have more power than thousands of prosecutors in court rooms on any given day, combined? tv lawyers question the decisions of jurors and convict individuals before they've stepped into a courtroom.patsy ramsey was convicted of killing her child by these legal hyenas, a charge that followed her to her grave .turns out she was innocen chirs jansing was one of the women correspondents on cnn and msnbc, who greeted OJs parole with hostility and sarcasm.she likes authoritarian types. she recommended that cardinal dolan for pope even though he was charged with covering up a pedophile scandal in minneapolis.she and the others, who second guessed the parole board, remain mum about the 12 of their sisters who claim that they were assaulted by president trump. • Democracy or Tyranny in the American Workplace
Amazon prohibits employees from exchanging casual remarks while on duty, calling this “time theft.” Apple inspects the personal belongings of its retail workers, some of whom lose up to a half-hour of unpaid time every day as they wait in line to be searched. Tyson prevents its poultry workers from using the bathroom Libertarian and neoliberal economists theorize that workers somehow suffer from provisions that would secure their dignity, autonomy, and voice at work. That’s because the efficiency of firms would, in theory, drop — along with profits, and therefore wages — if managers did not have maximum control of their workforce. These thinkers insist that employers already compensate workers for any “oppressive” conditions that may exist by offering higher wages. VOX
