  • March 4 Trump
Approximately 200 demonstrators gathered in George Rogers Park in a show of support for President Donald Trump and against what they said was a biased media and obstruction by Democrats on Capitol Hill. They were met by a crowd of anti-Trump protesters who had lined the march route on State Street and parked themselves at the intersection where the March 4 Trump would turn and walk back to the park. Anti-Trump organizers say as many as 700 showed up to voice opposition to the president's policies.Chants of USA" "were countered with cries of "black lives matter," which in turn were answered with both "all lives matter" and "blue lives matter."  Eder Campuzano The Oregonian

  • A Redstate Liberal on Obamacare
Jerry wanted to be in broadcasting. He started hanging out at KBIX and KMUS, the two local radio stations in his home town of Muskogee, Oklahoma when he was in Junior High School. Finally after a couple of years, they got tired of him being a groupie, and gave him a job as one of the youngest announcers in the history of radio station KBIX. Radio was good to him, and he continued working full time and attended Northeastern State University in nearby Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In 1961, he joined the US Army where he was stationed in the San Francisco Bay area.
He was one of the visionaries that found "Internet Radio"in 1999  known today as Podcasting
"Today has been a very difficult day for me....but full of wonderful memories. It has been two years since Jerry Bertrand Pippin passed away. He was a good, kind and gentle man. He is missed so much!" Roberta Scott
We talked with Ms Scott today, she had placed roses on Jerry' grave.

  • The Media Repackaging of President Trump
"There are a lot of people who have a lot of reason to be frustrated with him, to be fearful of him. But that was one of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics, period. And he did something extraordinary. And for people who have been hoping that he would become unifying, hoping that he might find some way to become presidential, they should be happy with that moment. if he finds a way to do that over and over again, he's going to be there for eight years" Van Jones
Trump has been president for about 40 days, but he sounds like he is still giving stump speechesHappy talk and mindless phrases, of course, leave Trump with wiggle room to blame Democrats or Republicans, or both, when things don’t work out, but it makes success on complex and controversial issues much more difficult.. • The Real Enemy
'A free press was 'indispensable to democracy' during his two White House terms – hinting that he disagrees with President Donald Trump's assessment of some reporters as 'the enemy of the people. We need an independent media to hold people like me to account,' Bush said on the 'Today' show. I think power can be very addictive, and it can be corrosive, and it's important for the media to call to account people who abuse their power, whether it be here or elsewhere." former President GW Bush
As depressing as DJ Trump’s war on the media is, it’s not all bad news. His administration has actually sparked some of the best investigative reporting we’ve seen since Watergate on the Russian connection and Trump’s financial conflicts – especially from The Washington Post, CNN, and The New York Times. It’s also clear that the majority of the American people aren’t buying Trump’s assault on the press.
The majority of Americans realize that the enemy is not those telling the truth. The real enemy of the American people is a president who tries to suppress the truth. Bill press
