A lot of people in the West really like to say "my country right or wrong" as a rallying cry for patriotism, but I take issue with it for two main reasons; one, it's an incomplete quote and two, mindless blind patriotism is not real patriotism and is ultimately damaging to patriotism and any kind of sensible discourse.

Time and time again, we are told that capitalism spurs innovation and is the reason why we have so many of the things we have. But how true is that statement? A quick glance around society and a scratch beneath the surface  will reveal this to be a terrible lie that needs to be ended.

According to the Toronto Star, Canadian supermarket chain Loblaws has cut 'hero pay' for its workers while raising the dividend for their shareholders and amid great profits thanks to lots of sales and grocery deliveries. I need Canadians to be as mad and outraged about this as we were about Whole Foods and the poppy debacle.

Uncontrolled spread of the coronavirus across most of America, and dire warnings about case increases in Canada. We are at war with this virus, and it's high time we treated it as such. Let's get our act together, especially if we want to see our families and friends safe and healthy in the New Year.  Note: I misspoke on the 6000+ cases; that's not for Canada, but for my province of Ontario alone.

I'm gonna miss this channel. I get why they're doing it, but that doesn't mean I'm still not mildly bothered by it...

"You know what? Yeah, honour the dead. That's a sacrifice. It's a shame that anyone had to die for any of these reasons." That's what this should be about. I just want to honour the dead who, in a more just and fair world, would not have had to die in the first place.

There's a lot of people out there who genuinely feel that the election of Joe Biden has defeated fascism. They couldn't be further from the truth.

Mitt Romney has wasted no time in making false claims about Medicare For All and the Green New Deal, and claiming that Dems will need to compromise with Republicans. This is just setting the stage for the next two years, so what should be the plan for progressives moving forward?

So a bunch of centrist Dems are mad at AOC for having the gall to be frank and honest about why so many Dems lost what should have been a "landslide" election. I touched on these same points in an earlier video, but I'm concerned about what AOC talks about at the end of the interview...

It hasn't even been a week and I'm already bothered by American liberals on social media.
