Happy (American) Thanksgiving! Outside of politics and history, it is a time for celebration, togetherness, and being thankful for what you have in life, be it the people around you or peace of mind. So then why the hell do some of you head out just hours later to participate in the cut-throat chaos that is Black Friday? How is this jarring juxtaposition not talked about or recognized more in America? What are your thoughts on the whole thing? I'd love to know.

One of the things I constantly hear from gun people is that guns are pretty much all you need for a revolution and for self-defense. Usually, the American Revolution and the Vietnam War are cited as examples where this has worked. While true to an extent, this also ignores the role other state actors played, as well as the importance of supplies, supply lines, and the security of said supply lines.

Everyone's talking about Randy Quaid's surreal and disturbing video, and the fact that Trump retweeted it. Here's the thing; Randy bizarrely raises a good point. Fox News forgot their 'golden goose', and now there's millions of Americans with a cult mentality eager for content to the right of Fox. This is problematic and dangerous for all the reasons you would expect.

Events in Peru have gained next to no Western traction, but once you hear about the events in question and what the situation is at present, it becomes clear as to why Western media wouldn't want you to hear about it and get ideas from it.

So yesterday angry Guatemalans torched their congress building. Today, that news has slipped into the ether. It wasn't an isolated incident. Just look at massive protests that have been happening since 2019 in Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Honduras, and even Brazil. We should be paying far closer attention to what could be a Latin American Spring.

So infamous Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse managed to post $2 million in bail, and even scored a sponsorship from Black Rifle Coffee. Imagine if that $2 million had gone to Americans who needed it during a pandemic instead...

Returning to an earlier topic. Not only does capitalism stifle innovation, but it also makes life hell for disabled people because they're not big enough or "profitable" enough as a market. This is also why government should not be run as a business, but watch the full video to see all the aspects of this rant about the hell that physically and mentally disabled people have to deal with on a daily basis in a capitalist society.

So 76% of Canadians support a wealth tax on the wealthiest one percent of Canadians to help pay for new programs and the pandemic recovery. So how  did the two parties that represent a majority of Canadians vote? Against the interest of Canadians. Only the NDP (who tabled the motion) and the Green Party voted in favour. Proof positive that Libs and Cons are terrible, and you should stop supporting them.

Conservative 'debate superstar' Ben Shapiro is famous for the saying "facts don't care about your feelings." It would be great if it was a true statement, but he and others like Dave Rubin, Jordan Peterson, and Steven Crowder are themselves operating from a place of deep emotion and routinely misrepresent the truth.
