Bounty Board

Happy Friday! Everyone has seen the comment on Twitter, “Keep politics out of games.” But what does that even mean, really? What qualifies as “politics”? It is a question with nearly as many answers as their are days in a month, but nevertheless the crew sits down to talk through politics in games. Sometimes we think it is needed, sometimes it’s unnecessary, sometimes it’s done really poorly. Regardless, we are all able to acknowledge that games have been political since the beginning, and that it seems recent that people began to take umbrage with that fact.

Happy Tuesday folks! Join the Bounty Board crew as they dig into the racing genre! We’ve all played a racing game of some sort right? From Mario Kart to Forza, Crash Team Racing to Project Gotham Racing, Need for Speed to Gran Turismo, racing games have been around as long as gaming has, it seems. Listen along as the Crew reminds themselves of the first racing game they played, praises their favorites, and chuckles at some of the blunders.

Hey Gang! We’re back! After a week off, we return to you with a special episode before our regularly programmed episode of Bounty Board goes up on Friday. This time tune in to hear Caleb and Sarge talk to Alex Bezuska of Two Scoop Games, about their upcoming precision platformer Kick Bot. Caleb and Sarge had a chance to play it a year ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

This interview is a two-parter! First you have some audio recorded from Caleb’s Phone at Pixel Pop in 2019, during his interview with Sarge, then after that we scooped the audio from our stream on Monday where Caleb grills Alex on all of the new features that have been added in the last year.

Kick Bot has a demo on Steam now! Join their Discord, grab the demo, and wishlist it on Steam! Help out these incredibly cool indie developers!

Happy Friday! Get your Sawft-Clothez warm! The Sommelier of all things Sawft and Clothez, Bobby Pease (@Bobbypease), the one and only Lumberjacksmack (he has way too many titles, we get it) has RETURNED!!! It’s been far too long, but finally Bobby has returned. Caleb and Bobby kick off the show talking about Hades and its inherent sexiness. Then, as Tech Supreme and Sarge trickle in we talk about next gen, Xbox just buying Bethesda one day, and how Sony seems to have lost their way a bit.

Happy Friday! This week the Bounty Board crew can finally dish about PlayStation. And it’s…interesting. The PS5 showcase happened, and showed genuinely interesting things, but at the end of the day the take away from the crew was that the PS5 can wait for us. Everything we really want to play comes out in 2021 or releases on PS4. This month’s Ubisoft Forward showed us more as well this week. Giving us more a closer look at Roller Champions, Watch Dogs, and showing of a sick looking new extreme sports game called Rider’s Republic. Final Verdict: The future of games looks bright folks!

Happy Friday! This week Bounty Board has a couple #longtimefirsttime guests! Ben and Caleb are joined by Adam and Andrew Dent (Dentalicious and Dentenstein respectively) to talk about all the xbox announcements this week, the Dune trailer, and why Game Pass is so good. The service gave us Wasteland 3 and Crusader Kings 3 in the last 10 days and Caleb and Andrew have been sinking their teeth in all week. Also we finally understand why Timothee Chalamet is all the craze. That Dune trailer makes a strong case for the smoke show. Also also…Call of Duty showed off its multiplayer, and like…it’s interesting?

Happy Monday everyone! This week’s episode is our Bounty episode! August was a busy month and the crew has a whole lot to talk about! Ryan got into Viking RTS Northgard, a unique mix of RTS and 4X that has a steep learning curve. Caleb finished Ghost of Tsushima and can’t stop talking about how much he ended up liking it. The whole crew fell back into Battlefield V. Tech is a month into Season 6 of Apex Legends and has thoughts about the community and updates. Ben has been toying around with a few games, most notably Zodiac XX a “twitchy” Ace Combat-type that’s under water.

Hey folks! Happy Friday! This week the crew sits down to discuss the negativity they see all over the gaming community. From shitposts to comment threads, the gaming community is littered with loud, angry, often times ignorant people spewing nonsense about games they don’t like. Why don’t they just keep their opinions to themselves? What is it about online comment threads that makes so many people so willing to make it their goal to be a jerk?

Join the crew as they dig in on this week’s Bounty Board!
