Hey folks! Happy Monday! With the news of Halo’s delay the Bounty Board crew sit down to ask themselves the question: should these next gen consoles wait a little bit to release? It’s hard to see a specific reason to pick up the new consoles initially sure, but upon research the guys also realize that most consoles don’t launch with GREAT games. Join us as we discuss whether or not the presence of large titles really is that important to the sale of new hardware!

Hey folks! Happy Friday! It’s that time again! With July now fully behind us and August on the horizon, the crew has a lot of games to recap and even more to look forward to this month. July was busy for everyone. Ben and Tech Dug into Devolver’s monster game Carrion. The whole crew got shrunk and fought off ants and spiders in Grounded. Caleb got transported back in time to Feudal Japan in Ghost of Tsushima. And when we say that August has a lot in store…it has a LOT in store.

Hey folks! Happy Friday! Last week the crew dissected the Xbox event and got into a lengthy discussion about Halo’s foundational multiplayer. This week they go further in depth to talk about the way multiplayer has developed as the industry has grown. They think about their first experiences with multiplayer and the game that REALLY pulled them in. A lot of Halo talk here, some Call of Duty, some Splinter Cell.

Hey folks! Happy Friday! We did it! We made it to our 100th episode! While we didnt really plan anything special for this episode, we do cheer ourselves for the milestone (we will do something special someday, promise).
This week on Bounty Board the crew dives into their predictions for Ubisoft Forward, airing this Sunday at 12pm PT/ 2pm CT and the recently confirmed Xbox event aiming for July 23rd. There is a lot of unkowns coming from each of these events. We know we will see Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, and Hyper Scape at Ubisoft’s event. Will we see Splinter Cell, Beyond Good and Evil 2, or Gods & Monsters? Who knows. Similarly we know we are going to see Halo Infinite at the Xbox event, but outside of that, it’s really up in the air.
Join Caleb, Ryan, Ben, and Tech as they cast their predictions, discuss their newfound love for PC gaming, and what the next chapter of E3 2020 is going to look like.

Hey folks! Happy…Tuesday? Caleb had a crazy weekend and so didn’t get this episode uploaded until last night…So blame him for all of this. But HEY! Last week’s episode of Bounty Board is live now! Join the crew as they recount all the games they played in June!
The whole crew got into so Friday the 13th, Caleb dug into Disintegration and came away with some interesting feedback. Ben grabbed Shipbreaker and logged some hours cutting down ships for cash. A new event in Apex, as well as the launch of Season 5, kept Tech’s nose to the grind. Ryan found his way back to PC and dabbled in some StarCraft, Halo Wars, and Command and Conquer. Everyone got something this month!

Hey folks! Happy Friday. The video game industry has had a rough week, which is is nothing when compared to the experiences that women are sharing. The industry has a LOT of room to improve. The crew takes a moment to talk about all of the allegations from the last week and express our support of the survivors. We must do better.
The rest of out episode is dedicated to discussing how the game industry can address it’s issue of size and scale. AAA games are costing more and more to make, despite the price of games not changing. IS it time for games to reduce in scale a bit? Perhaps they should cut some filler and deliver a more tailored 20 hour experience before going for a massive 80 hour experience? It’s a multi-faceted conversation. Is it a matter of pricing? Payment models? All of the above?

Hey folks! Happy Friday. So we are a week into what can really only be called E3 2020, except this time it isn’t a single show, on a single week. We’re going to be getting video game news every week for the next month. But this begs the question: Do we really still need E3? IGN’s Summer of Gaming is well under way at this point, with a ton of announcements, segments, and interviews. We have already gotten the Escapist Indie Showcase, and 3 days of the Guerrilla Collective showing off indies.
There is a difference though, right? With all of this gaming news coming at us in a seemingly unending stream, is it too much? Join Caleb, Ryan, Ben, and Tech as they discuss whether E3 made things easier to digest or just didn’t highlight the smaller stuff like these live shows are. Also, do we miss the spectacle more than the actual content? Lots of questions here, including a totally unrelated deep dive into why Caleb isn’t quite sold on VR, and why that makes Ben “angry?”

Hey folks! Happy Friday. It seems, even though our beloved E3 is on hiatus, games will always find a way. Here we are in the second week of June, and we suddenly have a TON of game news popping up! Most notably, IGN’s Summer of Games. A highly produced, well choreographed, online event showcasing new games coming later in 2020 or in the years following the next gen launch. It’s summer ya’ll! Time for game releases to slow down and game announcements to hit fever pitch!
This episode of Bounty Board the crew dives into the kick off of IGN’s Summer of Games. With so many games shown we talk about what has us excited, what missed our interest completely, where we think online events are going to go in the future, and why co-op seems to have taken 6 years to come back in force. Join us! There is lot s to talk about!
