Hey folks! Happy Friday. There is a lot going on in the world right now, and that makes each day a little scary as we wait to see what happens. First things first, we would like to say that NerdyBits stands with the black community in this trying time. NerdyBits stands with against systemic oppression, police brutality, and inequality in the United States and around the world. We are witnessing a truly tumultuous moment that will shape the future our kids and grandkids will see. It is important then, that we stand on the side of justice and equality, so that we may help that world come to be.
As always, this week’s episode is live. Please listen if you need a good distraction. But also, we understand that our voice on games is not nearly as important as the voices fighting for progress around the world. Join us if you need the break, catch us next week for another episode.

Hello friends! One more week means one more episode of your favorite video game podcast! This week, on Bounty Board, the crew digs into how morality plays out in games. It doesn’t have to be story mode to force players into moral conundrums. Do you kill stragglers in DayZ? Do you kill teammates in PUBG because they wronged you?
Join the group this week as they tell their deepest, darkest stories with a controller in their hand. From killing NPCs in GTA and State of Decay, to poisoning their water in DayZ to kill unsuspecting looters. It gets dark in this one folks!

Hello friends! Happy Friday! Can you believe May is almost over? As time slips past us, your favorite video game podcast is here to help pass the time with you. Speaking of time passing…what is with the rise in nostalgia as a marketing tool? Is it new or are we just now getting old enough to see it? A what about the string of Remakes and Remasters that the game industry is starting to see?
Join Caleb, Ryan, Tech, and Ben on this week’s Bounty Board as they discuss how, and if, nostalgia works on them. Do we have a game that we wish would be remade? Do we buy remakes or remasters now? There is a ton of discussion about whether or not nostalgia is a force for good or bad as well. Join us for a good talk, a little argument, and a lot of fun!

Hello friends! Happy Friday! I think, what day is it? Join your favorite video game podcast hosts for another episode of Bounty Board this week, as they talk about the unveiling of Unreal Engine 5. Showcased in a Summer Games Fest livestream, UE5 stunned during its tech demo. The high fidelity got the crew thinking: Which do you prefer? Photo-realism, or stylized art in your games?
We dig into what games need photo-realism and what games need to be stylized, which of course leads to a discussion about whether or not there is a requirement for any game to look a certain way. Do simulation games have to look real? Can they be stylized too? At what point does a game’s attempt to look real interfere with its immersion? Join us on another episode of Bounty Board to find out our thoughts!

Hello friends! This week, the Bounty Board crew flew by the seat of their pants. Sometimes plans work out, sometimes they don’t. But regardless, your favorite podcast is back to improv our way through a show with no topic. And guess what? We even landed on a solid topic. We are only getting better at this y’all.
Join the crew as they ask the question: is Fortnite a net good or a net evil? With the Travis Scott show happening as you read this, and comic book shops formatting themselves around the world phenomenon game, there is little question that Fortnite’s influence runs deep. But where did they get their power from. They have a history of '“stealing” other creators content, most famously dances. Did they steal their way to the top, and now no one remembers their transgressions? Join us as we discuss this and much more!

What is up nerds!? We are all finding ways to socialize with the people we can no longer visit in person. For many of us that has led to long hours online, playing games, trying out new things. For Caleb and Ryan that has meant diving head first into Stardew Valley. For Caleb and Ben the high seas have salted our faces. There are thousands of games to explore in these trying times, and so many people have backlogs to dig through so the Bounty Board crew asked each other the question, “Are games made to be a social medium?”
We all have memories tied to games. Long nights with friends, LAN parties, tournaments at GameCrazy. But a lot of the things we used to congregate around as a community have faded away. Do we still find a way to meet up? Or are we truly less social because of games, like so many people try to assume? Join the Bounty Board crew as they discuss the social aspects of the industry we love!

What is up nerds!? Can you believe it is already April? We certainly can’t. Nevertheless, the year continues to barrel forward, and we are back again for your weekly episode of Bounty Board! This weeks topic? Our March Bounties! We played a lot over the last month and we want to share that with you!
Caleb, Ben, and Ryan have played a LOT of Bleeding Edge, Xbox’s new arena brawler out of Cambridge studio Ninja Theory. Think Overwatch meets Smite. It is a ton of fun and extremely challenging. Tech is keeping up to date on Apex, as always. We also talk about some of the other media we got into in the last month. Caleb fell in love with the back half of Altered Carbon Season 2. Ryan, Ben, and Tech are all enjoying Dave on Hulu.
We have a ton we want to share! So join us for this weeks episode of Bounty Board!
