The Brigham City Council voted Thursday to approve a participation agreement with the Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) and Nucor Towers & Structures, linking the city to a tax increment plan supporting Nucor’s expansion. The Box Elder County Commission has approved a contract to implement a new fire and EMS reporting system, contingent on the county’s IT department signing off before it is finalized. Brigham City’s Museum of Art and History reported a banner year, with both overall attendance and youth participation reaching record levels, according to a presentation given to the city council last week. Mantua and Brigham City have both approved a new fiveyear wastewater services agreement, replacing a contract that had governed the small town’s sewer service since the late 1970s.
