The Box Elder County Commission on Wednesday approved an interlocal agreement that restructures the Bear River Health Department with a new responsibility to oversee both mental health and substance abuse services for Box Elder, Cache, and Rich Counties. The Box Elder County Commission unanimously approved a cooperative agreement with Utah State University (USU) Extension Services, ensuring continued delivery of agricultural, educational, and community enrichment programs to county residents in 2025. The Box Elder Chamber of Commerce has been awarded a ,750 grant to help fund a new visitor center for tourists in downtown Brigham City.
