A snowstorm that started last week that laid down several inches—the first significant accumulation of the year—was a welcome change to the dry winter for the Peterson family of Brigham City. Zach Peterson and his daughter built a dinosaur and re-purposed a Halloween decoration for the reptile’s rider. “It was nice to have some snow, don’t care for how late the snow was this year,” said Zach’s wife, Kennady. “Our daughter has loved playing— building the dinosaur and making snow angels.” The snow did, however, bring with it the usual slate of automobile accidents. At the Feb. 6 meeting, the Brigham City Council enacted a four-month pause on solar permits for industrial, commercial, and multi-tenant residential properties to review regulations and infrastructure compatibility. A probation fugitive led police on a high-speed chase Wednesday, involving multiple law enforcement agencies before crashing into a river and being taken into custody. The pursuit began around 12:45 p.m. on Feb. 5 when Weber County Adult Probation and Parole received a tip about the whereabouts of 24-year-old Brandler Stone.
