It's one of the busiest travel weekends of this year. The Pennsylvania Turnpike expects nearly 3 million people on the roads throughout the long weekend, a slight uptick from last year.

SEPTA riders can start purchasing weekly and monthly passes for September at pre-fare increase prices. SEPTA officials previously asked riders to hold off buying passes until it was able to comply with a judge's order to hold off on additional fare increases and service cuts. The agency says those cuts and fare hikes -- originally scheduled to go into effect tomorrow -- will now remain on hold until further notice.

Over the Labor Day weekend, state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta is continuing his five-day walk to Harrisburg from North Philly in protest of SEPTA’s recent budget cuts.

A panicked crowd at Hersheypark was able to breathe a sigh of relief. A boy wound up on the monorail tracks high above the park last night, but fortunately came away unharmed.
