It starred Sally Hawkins (nominated), Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins (nominated), Doug Jones, Michael Stuhlbarg, Octavia Spencer (nominated) with music by Alexandre Desplat (won) and cinematography by Dan Lausten (nominated). It also won for its production design (Paul Denham Austerberry, Shane Vieau, Jeff Melvin). In total it was nominated for thirteen Academy Awards, one less than the all-time record.
