What if midlife wasn’t the beginning of the end — but the beginning of your most powerful chapter?
In this episode of Brave Moves, Julie DeLucca-Collins highlights her conversation with Jack Perez, founder of Cool Life, a platform dedicated to helping women thrive in midlife.
After leaving corporate America and building successful businesses, Jack realized that women entering their 40s, 50s, and beyond were largely ignored in mainstream media and business conversations. Instead of helpful information, women were told to hide the signs of aging rather than embrace the opportunities that come with experience and wisdom.
So she built a platform that celebrates women in midlife and connects them with expert insights on health, finances, entrepreneurship, travel, relationships, and personal growth.
This conversation explores why midlife is actually one of the most exciting and empowering seasons of life — and how women can step into it with confidence.

What if confidence doesn’t come from perfection — but from honesty?
In this episode of Brave Moves, Julie DeLucca-Collins shares powerful lessons from her conversation with Becky Smoak, founder of Becky’s Mindful Kitchen, a cooking school focused on mindfulness, connection, and personal growth.
Becky’s journey is a powerful reminder that confidence grows when we stop hiding and start owning our story. After struggling with an eating disorder for more than 20 years, Becky chose recovery and eventually shared her experience publicly. Instead of losing credibility, she gained deeper trust and connection with her community.
Through cooking classes, leadership workshops, and mindfulness practices, Becky teaches an important life lesson: mistakes are not failures — they are opportunities to create something new.
This episode explores how mindfulness, vulnerability, and personal growth can transform the way we approach challenges, relationships, and confidence.
If you’ve ever felt like you had to hide parts of your story, this conversation will inspire you to embrace authenticity and take your next brave move.

Have you ever looked at your life and thought, “Everything is fine… so why doesn’t it feel fulfilling?”
In this episode of Brave Moves, Julie DeLucca-Collins explores what happens when a life that looks good on the outside no longer feels aligned on the inside. Inspired by her conversation with motivational speaker and life coach Kari Hurd, Julie shares a powerful message for women who feel restless, stuck, or quietly unfulfilled, even when life seems “fine.”
This episode is for the woman who is doing all the right things, checking the boxes, and showing up for everyone else, but knows deep down she wants more. Julie unpacks why settling for “fine” can keep you disconnected from your purpose, and how small acts of honesty and courage can help you create a life that feels more meaningful, aligned, and fully your own.
If you’ve been wondering how to stop settling, how to make a life change, or how to listen to that inner voice telling you something needs to shift, this episode will help you take the next brave step.

What happens when you push yourself beyond what you think you’re capable of?
In this episode of Brave Moves, Julie DeLucca-Collins shares the powerful story of Roxanne Gray and her experience completing Everesting 29029, a physical and mental endurance challenge where participants climb 29,029 vertical feet in 36 hours, the equivalent height of Mount Everest.
This challenge took place in Whistler, British Columbia, and required participants to repeatedly climb a mountain until they reached the total elevation of Everest.
But the real story isn’t just about endurance.
It’s about overcoming self-doubt, building mental toughness, and discovering the strength that comes from doing hard things.
Roxanne signed up for this experience not to compete against others, but to challenge herself and prove that she could push beyond her limits.
Her journey offers powerful lessons about resilience, personal growth, and the mindset needed to keep moving forward when things get difficult.
If you’ve ever struggled with self-doubt, faced a big personal challenge, or wondered how to build confidence through adversity, this episode will inspire you to keep climbing your own mountain.

What if confidence doesn’t come before you start — but because you start?
Today, in Brave Moves Pod, Julie DeLucca-Collins shares powerful lessons from her conversation with Melissa Polanco, founder of Ring of Color, a Latina-owned, cruelty-free makeup brand built on inclusivity, representation, and purpose.
Melissa didn’t come from the beauty industry. She came from higher education and counseling. But when she noticed a lack of diversity and representation in cosmetics, she didn’t wait for permission or perfect timing.
She started.
This episode breaks down what women entrepreneurs can learn from Melissa’s journey, including how to start a business before you feel ready, how to build from your values instead of validation, and why representation in business matters.
If you’ve been hesitating to launch your idea, grow your brand, or step into leadership, this episode will give you a practical mindset shift.
In This Episode You’ll Learn:
Melissa’s story is a reminder that you don’t need full clarity to begin.
