Jay Forte is a business and motivational speaker, author and nationally-ranked
thought leader. He's fired up about teaching today's young adults how to know
themselves and know their world,
so they can create successful, happy, impactful and GREAT lives.
Jay spent most of his own life wandering around, wondering where he fit both
personally and professionally.
After spending decades doing what others thought he should be doing, he discovered his own passion.
He helped develop a process that combines identifying people’s behaviors with
their skills and experience, to assist in putting them in the right jobs.
The book The Greatness Zone, came out as a way to help people discover what it is they came packaged with, and what are their talents, passions and values.
The ability to be self aware is something we have not valued, until lately.
Jay says that Ready4Life has taken the challenge and commitment to help the next
generation to land on their feet and be authentic in life.
If the people who are here are disconnected from who they are, then we’re building a really average world
He says that today’s parents are sometimes obstacles and have their own ideas about what our children should do, even though the world has changed.
Jay’s advice to parents is to not discourage somebody from something that they’
re loving. In his own case, this was writing:
"What lit up for me was the possibility of dreaming about and creating a world that
made great sense for who I was.
He explains that his book, The Greatness Zone, is a story of two people that m
et in college and together they learn how to show up big in their lives. Jay says that he played small and hid most of his life, but life is a celebration and adventure if one chooses to make it that way.
