In this episode, I’m joined by Amy Wadlington, prophetic Christian life coach, speaker, and host of the globally ranked podcast Prophetic Breakthrough for Christian Women.
Together, we discuss our similar calling to help women break free from insecurity and walk confidently in their true identity in Christ.
In this conversation, we talk about:
✨ How Amy would begin helping a woman who feels insecure by first asking:
✨ Learning to quiet the mind and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us
✨ Why the Holy Spirit is like a GPS:
✨ How healing and growth often happen one step at a time as we learn to trust God daily
✨ Amy’s journey as a single mom struggling financially and how God faithfully guided her step by step
✨ How both of us experienced a new courage and boldness after receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit
✨ Why receiving the Holy Spirit required partnership and surrender—choosing to step out in faith and respond to God
✨ Practical ways to begin hearing God more clearly by slowing down and quieting internal noise
✨ How insecurity and fear can sometimes be rooted in deep beliefs, lies, or inner vows we made long ago
Amy also vulnerably shares a powerful story from her childhood. At only two years old, after seeing her mother crying, she unknowingly made an inner agreement that she would never become a burden to her mom. That belief quietly shaped many of her decisions and behaviors growing up until God revealed and uprooted the lie.
We discuss how once truth exposes a lie, darkness can no longer hide there.
Most of all, this episode is a reminder that God deeply loves us and continually walks us into greater freedom, healing, and wholeness layer by layer throughout our lives.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, fearful, overwhelmed, or unsure how to hear God clearly, this conversation will encourage you to slow down, listen, and take the next small step with Him.

Knowing God loves you isn't the same as experiencing His love. Discover how God's love moves from head knowledge to heart transformation so you can finally break free from insecurity.
If that’s you, you’re not alone.
In this episode, we talk about the gap between knowing God loves you and actually experiencing His love in a way that transforms your thoughts, your identity, and your confidence.
Because insecurity doesn’t come from a lack of information…
I’ll walk you through what’s really missing, why truth sometimes doesn’t “stick,” and how to begin receiving God’s love in a deeper, more personal way.
God’s love doesn’t change you when you hear it.
1️⃣ Slow down and notice what you actually believe
2️⃣ Ask God for revelation, not just understanding
3️⃣ Sit with truth instead of rushing past it
Take a moment to pause.
Ask:
Notice what comes up—no judgment. Be honest with any doubt that shows itself with a twinge of resistance.
Then ask:
Be still.

Do you ever feel like you have to be “good enough” to be accepted?
What if trying to follow all the “right” rules is actually keeping you stuck in insecurity?
In this episode, I share a personal story from my younger years—when I truly loved God, but didn’t yet understand His grace. Without realizing it, my desire to be “good” led me into comparison, criticism, and a rule-based mindset that affected how I saw myself and others.
We’ll talk about the difference between living under pressure to perform and living from a place of already being accepted—and how understanding God’s righteousness and love changes everything.
If you’ve ever struggled with insecurity, people-pleasing, or feeling like you have to earn approval, this episode will help you begin shifting from striving to receiving.
You don’t become accepted by getting it right.
Take a moment today to notice where you feel pressure to perform or “be good enough.”
Instead of trying harder, pause and ask:
👉 “God, where am I striving to earn what You’ve already given me?”
Then simply receive:
👉 “I am already accepted. I am already made right.”
Let that truth begin to settle into your heart.
Alright, let’s come back. Feel your feet on the floor. Rub your face.

Do you feel like you have to be “good enough” to be accepted?
What if your insecurity isn’t complicated… what if it comes down to one truth you haven’t fully believed yet?
In this episode, I share a powerful truth that began to change everything for me—a revelation of God’s love that led to what I call my “year of awe.” For the first time, I began to experience what it meant to be fully accepted—not because of anything I had done, but because of what Jesus had already done.
We’ll talk about how core beliefs are formed, how they shape your thoughts, relationships, and even your connection with God—and how one truth from Scripture can begin to undo those beliefs from the inside out.
If you’ve ever struggled with insecurity, people-pleasing, comparison, or feeling like you have to earn approval, this episode will help you begin shifting from striving to receiving.
You don’t earn God’s acceptance—you receive it.

Have you ever felt unloved… even in your closest relationships?
In this episode, I share a very personal part of my story—what it looked like to feel hurt, inadequate, and insecure in my early years of marriage, and how God slowly began to heal my heart.
I didn’t realize at the time that insecurity, fear, and misunderstanding God’s love were shaping how I experienced my relationships. What I thought was just “being hurt” was actually something deeper.
But everything began to change when I started to truly understand God’s love—not just in my head, but in my heart.
In this episode, you’ll learn how insecurity and feeling unloved are connected, how it affects your relationships, and how God begins to bring healing from the inside out.
• What it feels like to struggle with insecurity and feeling unloved
• Ask God for a deeper revelation of His love
In this episode, I guide you through a simple listening prayer to help you:
• Recognize where you’ve felt unloved
You don’t have to live feeling unloved or unseen.

• Why insecurity often leads to overthinking and assumptions
Have you ever found yourself replaying conversations, wondering why someone didn’t respond, or assuming what others are thinking about you?
In this episode, I share a surprising realization I had—that much of my insecurity wasn’t just fear… it was a form of being inwardly focused. Not because I thought I was better than others, but because I was constantly thinking about myself and worrying about what others thought of me.
I was judging the “why.”
Why didn’t they respond?
But the truth is—we don’t actually know the “why.” And Scripture teaches us not to judge or create our own assumptions about others’ motives.
When we do, it fuels overthinking, insecurity, and emotional spiraling.
In this episode, I’ll help you see how this pattern may be showing up in your own life—and give you three simple steps to begin breaking free from ruminating thoughts and assumptions.
We’ll also walk through a guided activation where you’ll use your God-given imagination to shift your perspective and begin seeing others through truth and love.

Do you struggle with insecurity, overthinking, or constantly worrying about what others think of you? This is my story.
In this first episode, I’m sharing my personal story—how fear, self-consciousness, and anxiety shaped my early years, and how God slowly began to transform the way I think.
I grew up extremely shy, constantly aware of what others thought of me. I replayed conversations, felt insecure in my relationships, and struggled with feeling like I wasn’t enough. What I didn’t realize at the time was that my anxiety and overthinking were rooted in fear—and that fear was shaping how I saw myself.
Even after experiencing a new kind of courage through the Holy Spirit, my thoughts hadn’t changed yet. I was still stuck in self-consciousness and insecurity.
But over time, everything began to shift.
As I started renewing my mind with God’s truth, understanding His love, and learning to hear His voice, the fear, comparison, and overthinking slowly began to lose their hold.
In this episode, we’ll talk about:
We’ll also walk through a simple listening prayer to help you begin recognizing the thoughts you’ve been believing—and replacing them with truth.
If you’ve ever struggled with insecurity, intrusive thoughts, overthinking, or wondering what others think of you, this episode will help you take your first step toward freedom.
You are not stuck.

Do you ever feel like you're not enough?
Do you find yourself second-guessing your decisions, worrying about what other people think, or trying to earn your worth through performance?
What if those struggles aren't the real problem?
What if they're simply surface struggles pointing to deeper beliefs about who you are?
I'm Marji—a teacher and passionate follower of Jesus who loves helping women uncover lies and replace them with God's truth. For years I lived trapped by insecurity, people-pleasing, and the fear of what others thought of me. I lived with a deep fear of rejection, and it was paralyzing. Everything began to change when God showed me that I wasn't just struggling with insecurity and rejection—I was believing lies about my identity.
As I began replacing those lies with God's truth, I discovered something life-changing:
My identity isn't something I have to earn. It's something I already have in Christ.
Together each week on Break Free From Insecurity, we'll uncover the lies that keep us stuck, discover what God says is already true about us, and learn to live from our true identity in Christ.
We'll explore topics like:
• Discovering false identity and true identity
• Overcoming insecurity, rejection, and people pleasing
• Renewing your mind with God's truth
• Hearing God's voice and growing in wisdom
• Setting healthy boundaries
• Replacing fear, shame, and comparison with confidence rooted in Christ
Many of our surface struggles point to deeper core beliefs. Together we'll uncover those beliefs and replace them with God's truth.
If you're ready to stop striving, start believing what God says about you, and experience the freedom that comes from living in your true identity, you're in the right place.
