As a survivor of sexual assault at just 12 years old and teenage dating violence during high school, Anna has firsthand experience with the pain, trauma, and silence that can accompany relationship abuse.

Her journey of healing and her willingness to share her story have fueled her mission to create change.

Anna spent over 11 years as a high school counsellor  where she supported at-risk teens, led mentoring programs, and provided critical counselling interventions.

 Her work centers on teaching adolescents what healthy relationships look like, setting boundaries, and empowering survivors to find their voices.

Through Love Doesn’t Hurt, Anna is raising awareness about a topic that is often overlooked and uncomfortable to discuss.

 She’s determined to build a culture that cultivates respect, empowerment, and love for all.

As an adult child of alcoholics, Laura's early years were marked by challenges in understanding relationships and discovering self-worth. 

Yet, through years of faith, resilience, and personal work, she has transformed from victim to victor and moved from tears to triumph.

Laura’s journey is not only inspiring but also deeply rooted in her faith. By God’s grace, she’s come to see her story through the lens of love, healing, and hope in Christ, and she passionately shares these insights through her books, blog, and podcast.

Welcome to today’s episode! I’m thrilled to introduce an inspiring guest, Brandi Luke. 

Brandi’s story is one of immense courage, faith, and resilience. Fourteen years ago, she faced one of the greatest heartbreaks imaginable—the loss of her 11-year-old disabled daughter.

 Since then, she’s endured 12 surgeries in just six years, with two more on the horizon. But that’s not all—Brandi recently overcame breast cancer, a battle that tested her physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Through it all, Brandi has kept her eyes on Jesus, even in the darkest moments. She describes herself as an "Overcomer," relying on her faith to navigate the pain, fear, and uncertainty that often felt overwhelming. 

Despite the immense challenges, she’s chosen to share her testimony, hoping to inspire and uplift others who are struggling along their own paths.

Brandi is also a devoted mother to a child with Asperger’s, and her personal experiences have shaped her journey as a parent, adding another layer of strength and compassion to her story.

Today, Brandi will share how she has managed to stay strong, her moments of doubt, and how faith has played a pivotal role in helping her persevere.

Spreading Kindness and Healing: How Danielle Booher Turned Pain into Purpose

Today, I’m excited to welcome Danielle Booher to the show! Danielle wears many hats, she’s an author, speaker, mother, nurse, podcast host, life coach, and passionate mental health advocate. 

From a young age, Danielle has always felt a deep calling to help others, and this passion has shaped her personal and professional journey.

One of her core missions is to raise awareness about mental health, particularly through the lens of her brother’s OCD diagnosis. 

Tragically, Danielle experienced the heart breaking loss of her brother, who passed away by suicide, an event that flipped her world upside down. 

Despite this, she found the strength to push forward for the sake of her children, finishing her nursing degree and later becoming a life coach. 

Danielle uses her story and experiences to spread messages of hope and kindness, reminding everyone to be patient with others because we never truly know what they’re going through.

Danielle channelled her pain into purpose, writing her book *Inside CJ’s Mind* to honour her brother and to connect with anyone who’s ever felt alone. 

The book not only pays tribute to her brother but also serves as a beacon of hope for others struggling with mental health challenges. She wants to help people find healing and to let them know they are not alone in their battles.
