If your child told you one day they want to pick up knitting, or work as a waiter in their spare time, would you be OK with it?
A recent Straits Times article titled, "Would you let your child take up an activity that is ‘useless’?" started a debate of sorts for parents. Just to define it, what they described as useless is a hobby or activity that would do nothing for the resume, it won’t help you learn any relevant skills or get you into a school.
