  • Breakfast Briefing 9th February 2021- Barry Aldworth AA Roadwatch
    Caution is advised on roads in eastern parts of Leinster and Ulster this morning as a status yellow snow-ice warning is in place.
    Up to five centimetres of snow is possible today across Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow, Meath and Monaghan.
    The alert is in place since yesterday evening, and will run until 6pm today.

  • Breakfast Briefing 8th February 2021- Ronan Lyons
    A lack of supply in rental properties outside the capital is continuing to drive up rents, despite rising unemployment.
    Rents rose by over 5 percent on average last year, according to new data from Daft.ie, with supply on the market this month down 17 percent.
    Prices in Dublin fell however by more than 3 percent, but every other main city saw an increase.

  • Breakfast Briefing 5th February 2021- Carlow Weather's Alan O'Reilly
    The country could grind to a halt due to heavy snow next week.
    According to Met Eireann, a severe snow event is possible due to a Siberian cold front moving in from the East.
    The weather will begin to turn cold from this weekend, with temperatures dropping again on Wednesday.

  • Breakfast Briefing 4th February 2021- Senator Shane Cassells
    Fianna Fáil Senator Shane Cassells has called on the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to offer the same supports and funding schemes to provincial newspapers as is being offered to independent commercial radio.
    The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has announced its latest €2.5m commercial radio funding.
    It comes at a time where journalists have been laid off from a number of provincial papers across the country in the last week.
