At work, saying “yes” is often seen as a sign of commitment, but over time, that can come at a cost. More responsibilities start to pile up, expectations quietly shift, and it becomes harder to draw the line without worrying about how it might be perceived. So how do you push back without being seen as uncooperative and what does saying “no” actually signal in today’s workplace?

Jennifer Loh Drysdale-Banks, organisational performance adviser and executive coach at recruitment firm Talent Merge, joins the Breakfast Show to look at how employees can have clearer conversations around workload and why consistently saying yes may be shaping expectations in ways people don’t always realise.
