  • EP 159 "T-Time Tuesdays ~ How Can You Combat Depletion And Embrace A Fulfilling Life?"

    Send us Fan Mail

This is our 12th episode of T-Time Tuesdays with Tiffany, alongside Breakfast with Tiffany Show team members, Minami.  This has been a space where we chit-chat about life, events that have caught our attention, and updates on upcoming projects.

We begin by discussing “Stop & Frisk” which refers to police officers stopping civilians to question, search or detain which at times is considered a controversial police procedure that can lead to aggressive behaviors from authorities or involve racial profiling and other discriminatory acts towards certain individuals. We hope anyone going through a similar issue is reminded that voices are being heard around such topics and that there is hope to resolve this.
On the other hand, we also mentioned the safety we find in Japan and the gratitude we have to be living in this country.
Our talk then covers the previous episode in celebration of the 3 year anniversary of the podcast! We had the amazing Cecilia from New York and share our thoughts on the inspiring stories that we had.
The conversation moves to the Facebook post written by Tiffany on July 18th about “Depletion”. Minami reads the insightful post and Tiffany shares with us the main points she hoped to convey such as connecting with others, embracing our imperfections, being vulnerable, getting creative, and reaching out for support. These tips offered to our listeners remind us to respect and conserve our energy while energizing our authentic selves.
Lastly, we would love to hear from you as to what you think about the T-Time Tuesday series. Are there any stories that you could relate to? What would you like for us to cover in the future?  As always, we love and thank you for your support and for joining us time and time again. Until next time, keep safe and be kind to yourself with love.

  • EP 158 "Championing Trans Liberation: With Cecilia Gentili ~ Breakfast With Tiffany Show 3rd Year Anniversary Special"

    Send us Fan Mail

Welcome to our 3rd Year Anniversary special episode of the Breakfast With Tiffany Show podcast! In celebration of achieving another major milestone, we had the pleasure of inviting the charismatic Cecilia Gentili (She/Her), originally from Argentina but now living in the US as a proud transgender woman and advocate for the community. Join our inspiring talk with extraordinary stories and learn how Cecilia let life take her to unexpected places!

Cecilia starts off by sharing her coming out story to her mom at 3 and a half years old knowing at the time that she was not a boy, then again at 17 as a transgendered person. Cecilia talks about how Argentina in the 70's was under a dictatorship where queer people were persecuted. With the lack of information, education, and a generation without the internet, Cecilia’s first exposure to a transperson was in college at 17. We recognize how representation and exposure to identities can help guide people to feel seen and be authentic to who they are, as it did for Tiffany and Cecilia. Cecilia points out how sexuality and gender are consistent discoveries, as we don’t fully know who we are until life takes us places we have never been to before. She adds how we shouldn’t make plans for ourselves but rather embrace life and be open to it. The next question asks revolves around the secret to Cecilia’s 8-year long loving relationship. She believes the secret is to be open to new experiences, not to take life too seriously, always find something to laugh together, and so on. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining joy and safety in your relationships. The discussion covers Cecilia's memoir as a survivor, healing from trauma,  recovering from substance abuse, and more. Lastly, Cecilia reminds us to respect each other's and our own version of beauty, happiness, and success.

Cecilia Gentili is an advocate, organizer, and storyteller working at the intersections of sex work, immigrant rights, incarceration issues, and trans liberation. She has years of experience in direct services and policy advocacy, working with organizations such as Apicha CHC, and GMHC; and as a founding member of both DecrimNY and Trans Equity Consulting. As a performer, Cecilia starred as Ms. Orlando in the hit FX Show Pose. She has also performed in her one-woman show The Knife Cuts Both Ways, and in countless storytelling events across the country. • EP 156 Transcending Danger: Tales Of Resilience, Survival, And Transphobia (PART 3)

    Send us Fan Mail

This is the continuation of last week’s episode with Celia from LA to talk about their career and passion to educate, empower, and advocate for gender-expansive individuals in the community and corporate world.  This is the last part of a three-part piece.

Trigger Warning: This is just a reminder that this episode comes with a content warning. This is simple to empower you, our audience, with the knowledge you need to make healthy decisions about how and if you should consume this podcast content.

Celia discusses a frightening incident where her life was in danger. As a transwoman, she felt scared of the potential violence, and mostly terrified of the powerlessness.  As a vulnerable marginalized group, transgender people need to go the extra mile to find safety, both physically and psychologically. Tiffany also shares a disturbing episode from a man who expressed violent rage where she claims if she hadn’t acted quickly could have been her last. Such stories are told to inspire even after terrifying episodes in one’s life, you can find hope and strength. In 2017, Celia finally came out and her equity dropped in her career as people began to doubt her ability as a woman. She began to face heavy discrimination in various ways as she transitioned. However, this motivated her to create her organization to educate and support the transgender community. And when it comes to activism fatigue, she prays, spends time in nature, watches comedy, and finds a therapist to overcome this. She also mentioned the importance of managing one’s micro-aggressions from past traumas.  Celia leaves us a message that you are never worthless no matter what tragedies you face, and to reach out for support. You are not alone as there is always someone out there who will lend you a hand.

  • EP 155 "What Is The Difference Between Crossdressing And Gender Dysphoria?" With Celia Daniels (PART 2)

    Send us Fan Mail

This is the continuation of last week’s episode with the impressive Celia Sandhya Daniels from India to talk about their career and passion to educate, empower, and advocate for gender-expansive individuals in the community and corporate world.  This is part TWO of a three-part piece.

We begin the discussion around Celia's 26 years of marriage, on what held it together for such a long time. Celia's wife is someone who shows care and empathy toward others. Once Celia came out, she listened to Celia’s desire to support her community and felt that God had made her trans for a reason. Celia’s wife asked that they not keep secrets and talk openly to each other. Celia expresses that relationships mean doing what the other enjoys, showing interest, and taking care of each other while finding common ground. They mention how simple things can blossom in a marriage. We learn what Celia’s parenting is like, and the support their daughter offers as one of their biggest ally. Celia is hopeful for the next generation who show acceptance and support for the LGBTQIA+ community. The topic jumps to one of Celia’s videos around cross-dressing. We learn about Tri-Ess, a community for heterosexual cross-dressers with their partners, families, etc, and the importance of addressing Gender Dysphoria which is a spectrum, and using ‘Gender Fluid’ over ‘Cross-dresser’ which can be seen as an outdated term.  Celia advises us “to not be someone else’s journey and to treat yourself appropriately”. She adds, it's not ‘who’ you are but what you do in life that matters. In our next episode, Celia will share her story about a life-threatening experience. Stay tuned!
