Jessica is an award-winning director, writer & choreographer currently in USC’s School of Cinematic Arts MFA Program. She’s worked with The Smashing Pumpkins' choreographing for their International Tour. Her short films “The Last Croissant” and “AIRWAY” (both Hilarious!) have won  Best Director and Best Comedy awards. 

She is almost compulsively working so it’s no surprise that she’s in post on another comedy called “CAT” that we’ll definitely talk about and she just finished the Oscar Qualifying short “Exit, Pursued by a Bear,” a short movie musical which she wrote, directed, choreographed, and co-wrote lyrics with composer Michael Mahler. Her work has been described as "hilariously twisted” and I definitely agree!

Her award-winning Romantic Comedy, "In Other Words", starring Chris Kattan, Edy Ganem and Bryan McClure, released in February of 2021 on HBOMax. “Divorce Bait”, Her most recent Rom-Com which she co-wrote and produced stars Vannessa Vazquez and Justin Berti has screened in Los Angeles which will be released soon AND… She has also directed the feature film “Free Lunch”, which is in post-production. She’s worked as a songwriter, playwright, teacher, actor and a children's musical theatre director.  Cristina is a member of the Writers Guild, Women In Media and SAG-AFTRA.

This is the one with Leanna Primiani

Leanna Primiani is an award-winning composer and a California native with a Doctorate in music composition from USC. Nicely done, Dr. Primiani!  Well, the Doctor also wrote the score for the remake of cult classic “The Bad Seed”, directed by and starring Rob Lowe and she just wrapped The Bad Seed Returns, written by and starring Mckenna Grace for Lifetime/A&E which is airing now so definitely go check that out!  She has worked on tons of interesting projects like Ivory Wave (an experimental Horror film) that screened at this year's Fantasia film festival and WIF/Fox Searchlight production of Signal.  Leanna is unique in that she is both very adept at creating large-scale orchestral scores coupled and designing music using electronic synthesis which gives her an advantage when scoring film.

 Her concert catalog has been performed all over the US and as far away as Taiwan and featured on NPR. She is a member of BMI, the largest music rights organization, a voting member of the Recording Arts Academy and Television Academy, New York Women Composers, The Alliance of Women Film Composers, and The Society of Composers and Lyricists.

This is the one with Indy Saini!  Indy Saini is a filmmaker and motorcycle rider passionate about adventure and travel, driven to increase the complex stories of women in mass media. Her short film directorial debut "The Lesson,” garnered international awards including Best US Narrative at the Women’s International Film Festival in Miami. Indy’s technical skill behind the camera has landed her work with master storytellers including Ang Lee and David Lynch on major Hollywood movies such as “Harriet,” “Gemini Man,” and “A Wrinkle In Time.” Her documentary work as cinematographer includes: “Soma Girls,” about education the children of sex workers in India that aired on PBS; "Women in the Front Seat,” about female motorcycle gearheads (winner Best Feature Doc in the Nevada Women's  Film Festival) and “Ice Bear,” a National Geographic Wild film for which she received an Emmy Nomination.

SHOUT OUT: Indy mentioned her friend, Sharon Sullivan, who she created a final college project with -  a performance art piece targeting violence against women and ending in a interactive ritual that allowed anyone to write on a piece of paper something in their life they want to release and burn in a ceremonial process.  Sharon went on to devote her life to improving the lives of women - working to stop sex trafficking.  Helping trafficked survivors after they’ve been rescued. This is the one withTara Tovarek!  She founded and ran a successful theater production company before moving from Atlanta to Los Angeles. Then she was the assistant to A-listers, such as Harrison Ford and Sugar Ray Leonard. Then she went on to work in Budapest on "A Good Day to Die Hard’" then to Montreal for "X-Men: Days of Future Past." She has worked with some of the industry’s top directors and producers including Spike Lee, Walter Hill, and Robert Lorenz. Krista is a writer, actress, filmmaker, and mom originally from Buffalo, NY. She danced and choreographed professionally in New York City before graduating from the William Esper Studio’s two-year Meisner Program.  Her script The Dancer was chosen by Apple for their first Short Film Challenge, and is now available on YouTube. Recent career highlights include her short script The Instinct being one of six winners in the Women In Media CAMERAderie competition.
