Season 2 Episode 11:
On February 13 2017, 13 year old Abby Williams and 14 year old Libby German were brutally murdered. Their bodies were left to be found the next day by volunteer searchers. For seven years, no one knew a thing. As far as the public knew, investigators were keeping details away from outsiders to protect the integrity of the case. No one knew their cause of death, the position of their bodies, or anything at all about the scene.
In October of 2022, an arrest was made. Richard Allen was a local CVS worker, married, and with no criminal past. His trial has just concluded and the jury found him guilty of two counts of first degree murder. He awaits sentencing on December 20, 2024.
Cut and dry, right?
Not exactly. While the judge refused to allow evidence of a ritualistic killing, we now have evidence that the jury wasn't able to hear. The girls' bodies were posed intricately to very specifically replicate the position of two figures in the Odin mythology. Their throats were slashed.
Oh, about that. Abby had recently been dating a boy whose father was heavily involved in the local Odin or Vinlander Social Club group.
There was a car that returned from Delphi with dried blood on it.
Multiple social media posts were made replicating the crime scene by a member of the group YEARS before anyone knew what it looked like.
DNA? None of Richard Allen's. But originally there was "male DNA" that didn't match anyone.
But now investigators say they no longer have it.
"If you find my spit on her body, I can explain it." Who said that??
