A stunning reflection of a man with no problems, Breaking News (And Sports!) sees Jack at his most drunk, trying as hard as he can to ruin an episode while Kathleen Keene, past present and future theater friend, provides a guiding light. They talk about SPORTs, the PAST, and WAFFLES. Today, a special episode of BN(AS). 1st, a story of a father searching for mother. 2nd, a superhero mom with a daughter unaware of the extent of her mother’s powers. Next, the topic of cats in microphones inspires a midwestern cat laboratory story. The episode makes an immediate pivot into Irish accents, and most likely, the episode devolves from there. But that’s the point, frankly, the deconstruction is as important as the building—anarchy reigns, burn it all down. An old man can’t remember his passwords and cannot see the pyramids because of it in the timeless classic “Stinky Muffin 2,” an audio play that explores our relationship to language. This whole goddamn episode is a delicate exploration of human relationship in an intimate setting, and I suppose the metacontext (this "info section") is necessary to understanding the final concept. Honestly, through a certain lens, it’s good. I promise.
