Trump said he will use economic force to pressure Denmark into allowing the people of Greenland to vote on their fate. Brett also discusses President Biden's scorched earth policy in the last days of his time in office, blocking any drilling for oil and natural gas on millions of acres of federal land, and much more. 

Later, Brett discusses the back and forth between storied swimmer, Riley Gaines, and United States Senator Bernie Sanders. The two had a short argument on X where Senator Sanders demands the Trump take action in regard to the California fires, and Ms. Gaines reminds the aging senator that Trump hasn't yet taken office.

In the modern era, just because criminals get away it doesn't mean that they won't get caught. From tracking down license plates to various other tactics the police department has at their disposal, the criminals often get caught sooner rather than later.

Breaking Brett Jensen has an exclusive interview with CMPD Police Chief, Johnny Jennings, for tonight's show. Brett gets the first opportunity to discuss CMPD's newest policies with Chief Jennings. They kick off the show by talking about the rise in violent crime, with Mecklenburg County regularly coming in at over 100 murders per year, and if that influenced the decision for officers to keep their blue lights on at all times. They also discuss how CMPD utilizes data to better serve and protect the citizens of Charlotte.

Later, Brett asks Chief Jennings to summarize 2024, he responds by saying that he had assumed 2020 would be his most challenging year but 2024 has been nearly as challenging for himself and the department as a whole.
